Just because.. or, olé!

Do you ever take a shot because.. you're not sure why but something about it just appeals? Sitting across from this cafe on Beaufort Street in Highgate the arrangement of yellow chairs, the tiled roof under which sat the three red awnings and the jaunty 'pop up' sign appealed to me, even more so when the general public :) walked/cycled into the scene.. but if I'd known before I Googled for details that the restaurant/bar was called 'Enrique's School for to Bullfighting' serving Spanish food with a side of gin :) we might have 'popped-in' :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...

  2. I take photos of all kinds of things for all kinds of reasons. I enjoy CDP and my photo blogs, but basically my photography is for myself. So I understand this and I would most certainly have taken these same photos. It's a very interesting and attractive place. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Fort Lauderdale was "Ole! Ole!" We miss that since we've moved up to Ocala.

  8. Why yes, I do that same thing all the time. This certainly looks and now that I know the name, it sounds like an interesting place to visit. I do enjoy Spanish food and I do enjoy a little drink with gin every now and then. It sounds like I'd find something to like on the menu.

  11. You gotta take pix that appeal to you. We aren't commercial. We just take photos that delight ourselves. If someone else likes them, great, but the first and most important audience is YOU.

  12. Then you have good photographer's habits, doing more than thinking. But bullfighting is undoubtedly prohibited in Australia the Spanish don't particularly drink gin. Some sherry, maybe?

  17. Oh, yes, that looks Spanish and inviting, Grace. I have to admit I was in Spain (as very young adult) but we never went into a restaurant (did I mention young? Not much money ;-)...)
