Before I went off on a small break last week I showed a few tempters from John Oldham Park named after WA landscape architect John Oldham. Nestled close to the city in a busy spot between Mounts Bay Road and the Kwinana Freeway interchange it is a most unexpected green and lush haven with abundant bird life. You might think in this spot it would be hard to reach, but not so.. there are bike paths accessible from many areas including the city and a car park off Mounts Bay Rd.. tres clever planning oui! I hope that you're having a good week, take care and stay safe..

Oh, what a delightful place to have near the city! Wonderful escape and I love your pics as always!! The birds are so beautiful!! Hope your week is going well, Grace!! Thanks for sharing the beauty!!
ReplyDeleteDat ziet er wel heel erg mooi uit wat een geweldig oord om te verblijven.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, serene-looking place....
ReplyDeleteNice place to be... I would for sure dip my toes (or much more) in this water
ReplyDeleteNice views, the blues in the water look real good, easy to paint those!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a magical place, Grace!
ReplyDeleteLooks idyllic.
ReplyDeleteAnother Perth treasure. "Lush" is certainly the right word and your camera has captured that lushness well. I'd like to ride bike on that path!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is an oasis, Grace! So peace- and beautiful...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot. Don't you just love finding a little oasis? Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteWonderful place:I'd like strolling there. Our summer is very bad...Kisses from Italy
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to go to and ponder nature...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful park! Perfect for a long walk...Arianna
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. Wonderful place for a walk and so convenient.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I was putting together that post about the cut-down trees. I share your thoughts :).
That's a bit of heaven in the city!
ReplyDeleteDo you know I couldn't tell if these were paintings or fotos at first.
ReplyDeleteThis park is a real jewel. Your photographs are especially lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a place. Water is always good. Water falling is even better. The tree in the foreground of the first photo I guess is a type of a fern. What an unusual trunk with, I presume, marks where older fronds have fallen off as it has grown.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and inviting! We are having 108 temperatures in Az so I am looking at this for a long time. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteVery soothing photos Grace, thank you, I love this area! Joyx
ReplyDeleteWhat a paradise, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWe've driven past that place so many times and didn't realize just how beautiful it is! Thanks for the up-close and personal viewing. Your photos are like paintings, Gracie. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place. I love the shot of the black swan.

ReplyDeleteSuch a magical place Grace. It looks like a land that time forgot.
ReplyDeleteMay there be more bike paths like this. Beautiful !
ReplyDeleteGreat to have somewhere like this so close to the city, though by the look of your photos it seems to be a fairly well-kept secret.
ReplyDeleteYou caught the beauty of this park very well, must be great to be there.
ReplyDeleteA nice place to spend a day!
ReplyDeleteA pretty spot to enjoy the peacefulness of water.
ReplyDeleteA little piece of paradise closer to the city centre. I must go and investigate it one of these days.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is amazing..Janey
ReplyDeleteFantastic place to hang for a day.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful place and lovely images !!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember if I have ever seen black swans, they are great.
