Bringing home the dinner.....

It's when I see a scene like this that I wish I enjoyed fishing. This couple were sitting on the South Perth foreshore (Fishing the Swan River) maybe hoping to catch a good sized Bream to take home for tea. The backdrop to their angling activity was breathtaking with the sun going down, glancing off the City high rise. I'm thinking even if they weren't lucky enough to catch their supper, what a relaxing way to spend an evening!

  1. Beautiful, peaceful view. I'm not a fisherman either; not enough time and not enough patience, plus if you catch one, you have to get it off the hook!

  2. Exactly Jack! I did catch one once, vowed never to do it again, poor little thing struggling away on that nasty hook thing, and yet....I do love a good fish and chips!!

  3. Beautiful spot. Unfortunately I find fishing boring, would rather read a book.

  6. I spent 3 years working on the pier here and never fished, although my daughter was happy to spend her evenings watching thefishermen in the sunset!

  11. Your pics really shine when viewed at full size, Grace. Lovely scene. I had to kill a fish with only my hands a few years back (long story). I wasn't a fan of fishing before that and I haven't become one since... I am partial to it on the plate, however:-)
