Still super busy with DIY home renovations again yesterday I have a few random pics today taken over the last two weeks. Above, I don't often look out for ghost signs but perhaps I will from now on, the old Coca-Cola sign seen on the way down to Fremantle last week where as you can see below the streets were deserted, love the dockyard giraffes centre stage, they are a bit of a landmark, I can see them all the way down the coast from Sorrento Beach..
Below, at Hillarys Boat Harbour you can order a cup of coffee but don't even think about sitting on a bench to drink it :) The weather was a bit overcast, just the way I like it!
School holiday fun at the beach while still following social distancing procedures 🌊
More backyard visitors below, they are a cheery if somewhat noisy presence :) Hope to get out for a drive today, don't worry we will be super careful and follow the rules. Happy Thursday, take care and stay extra safe..
I heard yesterday about an old lady who was out for a walk and got a bit tired and sat down on a bench to rest for a bit and someone started yelling at her about breaking the rules. It is a crazy world out there, Grace. Love the ghost sign.
ReplyDelete...the faded Coke sing is great. We must become the change we wish to see in the world, is a wonderful quote.
ReplyDeleteLove the ghost sign. You can't miss it.
ReplyDeleteI love the faded pop sign. Happy reno! I love doing that. Although this week, I'm also doing demo. Muwhahahahahahaha. Happy Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteYour visitors are a welcome sight.
ReplyDeleteOh grace that boardwalk looks super inviting! If only I am near that area that would be my favorite place in the world! there are a few of those on beaches in California but they are usually crowded. I would love a bench for my own as I watch the sunset while I eat a cup of peanut butter gelatto!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful visitors, Grace.
ReplyDeleteNeat old sign, and the beach looks great.
Cloudy days are great for photography. Back in the film days I did more on cloudy and overcast days than in sunlight. Cloudy matched the response of the paper better than sun.
Fine old Coke sign. I can see you had a good time on your drive. The beach looks inviting. Just hope there is nothing dangerous in the water. Stay safe, Grace.
ReplyDeleteIt is strange to see so few people in your street scenes, Grace.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what you are renovating? Belgium allows people over 60 to sit on public benches.
ReplyDeleteA pleasant mix of things to look at. They did make a start on renovating some of Cambridge's old ghost signs but I think such expenditure will be on hold for a while as the local authorities try to sort out their finances. So far I've avoided the temptation to paint any walls.
ReplyDeleteFading things we see here, too, Grace.
ReplyDeleteSunny, every day, no rain at all. And still no real rules, people with common sense behave, others... I hold my breath for long times these days often! Come Monday rules might set in.
I agree with Iris and what's in store for all of us.
ReplyDeleteOK, your photos is super nice, the parrots are cute ... but I wonder, WHERE IS THE AUTUMN? LOL
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the renovation, Grace!🤗
That is a nice view into your daily life. It looks almost the same as here, empty streets. Even the birds keep their distance to each other! :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is strange to see those streets so empty. I LOVE those colorful lorikeets. They make me smile every time you post a photo with them. I wish I could hear their noisy chatter.
ReplyDelete❤️
ReplyDeleteLove the sign on the balcony and the lorikeets of course. Good luck with the renovations Grace.
ReplyDeleteSadly the Sydney beachgoers don't seem to understand distancing so I guess they can expect the beaches to close again.
ReplyDeleteI see your blog daily, it is crispy to study.Your blog is very useful for me & i like so much...Thanks for sharing the good information! mega casino
