The Blue Screen of Death..
While getting my post ready for tomorrow I was confronted with 'the blue screen of death' 😱 (Google it) too hard to explain :) valiant efforts by P to fix the problem were to no avail. So my desk top computer with all my photos will be heading in to be looked at by the experts today. Fingers crossed that it is fixable and I don't have to buy a new computer. Depending on which outcome I'll be back in business either tomorrow, or whenever I get my old computer back. Despite the ANZAC Day services being cancelled yesterday because of the virus, all over the country Australians paid their respects in their own unique ways, was wonderful to see 💙 Happy Sunday, see you when I see you, take care and stay extra safe ..

Ouch! You must have an old version of Windows. I didn't think that happened any more.
ReplyDeleteWe stopped in Alice Springs during our one trip to Australia years ago and visited Anzac Hill. It was very moving..
Hopefully it'll be sorted quick.
ReplyDelete...my best to you, my Apple isn't always perfect, but I've never had serious problems.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Grace!
ReplyDeleteBugger. I haven't seen the blue screen since about 1999 and I am surprised that it is still a blue screen.
ReplyDeleteYuck! Just what you need! That reminds me that I should back-up my computer which I haven't done for a while. Good Luck, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHow annoying. Hope you don't lose any data. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThat is never much fun.
ReplyDeleteOh terrible, I hate all those techniques that don't work and I don't understand. Wish you luck...
ReplyDeleteOh Grace this is sad! I remember during my college days when the blue screen of death would appear right while I am taking my programming final exams, I nearly cried because I had to start from scratch at the second half of my time limit. I hope the files will be recovered Grace!
ReplyDeleteOh, terrible, I have double back-ups of my pics, hope you, too, or/and it can be fixed!
ReplyDeleteI´m always afraid blogger might shut down and all is lost, too!
Fingers and toes crossed for a successful backup!!!
That hurts ...
ReplyDeleteHope that is not too bad and will be resolved quickly!
Have a nice new week ahead! 🤗
Sh*T
ReplyDeleteGood luck
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for you that you won't need a new computer.
ReplyDeleteoh no, I hope you backed everything up and that you are online again soon.
ReplyDeleteI do wish you and your computer the best of successful luck, and no losses! It's good everyone did their own special part, I believe we can't let this change us, we just have to change our ways a bit, bend, twist, roll over whatever but keep our traditions, ceremonies and all those things important to us alive, just perhaps a bit different in celebrating! Take care stay safe.
ReplyDeleteBoa sorte minha amiga.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

ReplyDeleteOh that is bad news. I hope you get it back as good as new. I can relate to that kind of anxiety. I had a few computer problems over the weekend too. I was starting to get very nervous that I wouldn't be able to get to my photos.
ReplyDeleteOh no that is terrible news. I hope you can get it sorted out. I had to have a new one last year and they could save nothing off the old one! :-((( Thankfully I back up fairly often. Hope you are back soon, take care, Diane
ReplyDeleteBSoD 'the blue screen of death' !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh !, the hateable terms !!!
I wish you'll never to meet that one. ;)
I hope the experts can sort it out Grace and you recover all the information you had.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! It's happened to all of us. I do hope you are able to get all your data back. Such a pain!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when technology goes wrong, I fret. I hope the experts can retrieve your photos.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I quit MicroCrud Windoze about 15 years ago. Linux Rules! and...no BSOD-Ever. Although trough my laziness I've lost drives that needed replaced.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hate when this happens. Hope it was an easy fix.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I hope they were able to recover most of your data even if they couldn't resurrect your machine.
