Ethyl the sea-dragon..

This is the mural that we went looking for last week on our trip to Fremantle. Found on Stirling Highway Ethyl the delightful leafy sea-dragon was painted by Fremantle artist Alice Ford. The mysterious and fantastical appearance of seahorses and leafy sea dragons has always appealed to me, if you have two minutes take a look at the short video here, amazing creatures they are 💙 Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..

  6. What a beautiful depiction. It looks very much like the real thing. Fascinating creatures.

  7. They are wonderful creatures to watch at an aquarium. It would be so hard to draw one life like, so a stylised version is best.

  9. Why do you guys have so much beautiful murals! I really love Ethyl and her beautiful colors! We don't have murals here in our province grrrrr or maybe I just fail to do a good job finding them. I sure will look for them when the lockdown is over :) Sending hugs Grace!

  11. I love that mural. Sorry I have not been keeping up with comments as I am knackered from working in the garden each day, hopefully soon all will be planted and then it is just a case of weed control. Will zap through your last posts now but will not comment. Stay safe, Diane

  15. That's an amazing species (or family or whatever) of seahorse-like creatures. I've seen them in aquariums and zoos, but only once in the wild. Nice mural.
