Winter trees.. at last!

At last I can see Wesley Church through the trees in Central Park. There's something quite wonderful about winter trees, when the last leaves drop leaving them naked and a little vulnerable, the birds exposed without leafy coverage. If you pull the shot in below you will see the pigeons/doves huddled along a branch observing the comings and goings below, or they could just be asleep observing nothing at all :) Perth winters can be mild, the bare trees a comforting sign of the changing seasons. J'aime l'hiver 💙 Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

We could use more moderate temperatures here at present.

  3. It is hot humid and very windy here. A good thing our trees have all of their leads to give us some shade!

  5. Grace, your winter looks like our fall or spring. The seasons cycle at different times for us. Love the look at wet streets and soft light.

  7. Winter trees give off views you can't see at any other time. Now we need some rain, can you believe that, they are telling people to ration their water use. This hot weather has been bad for lots of people. It's not even close to what you experience but is extremely warm for people here.

  8. Winter does expose a lot of new views. I like that we have a mixture of deciduous and evergreen trees, giving us the beautiful branch shapes of some trees and the nice green of others.

  10. Very nice Grace.

We could use some winter weather at the moment, 35C. I think I'm back in FL. Oh! There is not high humidity -- so even at that temperature it is nice sitting on the porch.

Winter trees are fun. I like shooting just the branches against the sky and using IR when they are covered in snow.

  11. Even in the tropics, our Ceiba tree loses it's leaves once a year, when it does, the neighbors porch light keeps my wife awake at night.

  12. It's the best time for street photography when the trees are leafless. You can see views that cannot be seen at any other time of the year.

  15. Never thought to see trees in Australia without leaves unless it is their growing habit but laws of nature also there. Nice view.
