Thank goodness that there are these short breaks between the storms.. just enough time for a quick walk around the lake at Picnic Cove. The water level in the lake has risen considerably since our last visit. I don't think I've seen as many black swans altogether in one spot like this. It's the first time I've noticed the turtle crossing a few shots down, if you check out the sign there is abundant water life going on in and around these wetlands. Looks like we are in for more of the same this week with hopefully the odd appearance of a blue sky. Hope you had/are having a fab weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
Beautiful shots and dramatic skies!

Looks great. Don’t hope that picnic lake become panic lake this winter but its just the joke of the word.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful area Andrea.
ReplyDeleteAh... PDP. Realized I called you Andrea. Sorry about that!
ReplyDeletePretty place..picnic cove
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good place for a picnic, as long as you have it between the storms.
ReplyDeleteEven the swans look like they are still drying out. It has rained here today until a couple of hours ago so my photo plans got cancelled!
ReplyDeleteMuch self preening going on by the swans. Wouldn't it just be so good to see a turtle using the crossing.
ReplyDeletePicnic cove is a beautiful spot and I love those black swans. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteoh I love checking out places like this, good to know there's wetland areas where plants/birds/animals can still live.
ReplyDeleteYou had a fine day at the park with your camera. Great shot of the black swans, and the turtle crossing. Wonder if the turtles read the sign?
ReplyDeleteTurtle crossing? That's a new one. What a beautiful spot! Winter weather is much easier to handle if there are breaks of blue skies from time to time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics.
