When the weather is as wild and woolly as it was yesterday there is only one thing to do.. find yourself a snug spot, order up a coffee and cake and watch the city workers rush to and fro under their umbrellas! Had a wee bit of fun with this one using a free painterly effect, what do you think? I quite like it. Below this is what the sky looked like on our way home along the coast road. I looooove this weather :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. I'm not kidding about the snow, you'll see 😉
I like what you did with that pic!
ReplyDeleteThe brooding sky is quite dramatic.
Beautiful ominous looking sky. We could use a bit of winter here 39C already and it is only noon, but I still do not miss Florida.
ReplyDeleteDo people in Perth only go to the grocery store and fill several carts full of food when snow is forecasted? I think it is the only time people in Virginia do! Carts full of eggs, milk, bread, and sometimes more. I found it quite amusing.
We don't get snow here very often and its usually just a sprinkling in the hills. Last one was 20 plus years ago
Delete...I have a shovel if you need it.
ReplyDeleteA chance of SNOW????
ReplyDeleteThe climate must be really changing if you are getting snow, Grace!
ReplyDeleteKeep warm! Artistic photographs. I have stopped blogging, but have other photos on instagram: gunnfb
ReplyDeleteI quite like your painterly effect in your top shot. Should print this one out for your wall. Also like the dramatic clouds along the beach in your second shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat effect! And look at that sky!
ReplyDeleteGotta love cosy spots when it's a cold day, pretty similar here too, I've been in bed the last few days with another flu. sigh. bit over it.
ReplyDeleteGreat effects on the photo. The sky is very dramatic, definitely not walking weather. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting effect on the first photo. Snow? Don't talk nonsense.
ReplyDeleteSnow! Is it supposed to stick? Do you have hills for sledding?
ReplyDeleteYour ocean picture reminds me of when my ship went to Bunbury.

Oooh! I like those effects! And does that sky ever look forbidding! Snow? Really??
ReplyDeleteI love both pics, Grace, the second, though, is really dramatic! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSnow, oh.my.g... help! Get your shovel out, then ;-)
This dark sky is really frightening. A big contrast with the painting effect. I'm waiting for the next posts to see if snow will really fall :-)
ReplyDeleteThat paint effect looks great Grace. That was a menacing sky there!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind our mild winters but much prefer a sunny day, otherwise all I want to do is stay home under the duvet.
Um céu bastante ameaçador.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de boa semana.
