Walking back up to Kings Park from the city on Sunday look what was peeking enticingly above the trees lining Mount Street. An Art Deco delight with stunning views from every curved balcony. The city to the left, the Swan River to the front and Kings Park to the side.. as the song goes, who could ask for anything more 🎵 In it's time Art Deco represented luxury and glamour, it's all here. Have a look at a recently sold apartment here (click all 23 images) oh la! Here's the thing though, the two million + expenses it would cost to live here.. I know I would have much more pleasure giving away :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. it's a beauty right!
What a beautiful building!
ReplyDeleteThe shots from the end remind me of a cruise ship! It's a beauty, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty, and the views from the apartment, wow! I'll win lotto one day...
ReplyDeleteWhen I just clicked through those pictures on the link an advertisement from my bank popped up on the sidebar asking if I needed a loan! Well, yes, just a little one!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for the spectacular, what an iteresting building. Hope all is well, have a good week Diane
ReplyDelete...sign me up!
ReplyDeleteI have always liked the Art Deco style. You found a building with great lines.
ReplyDeleteSo agree. If I could afford to live there I wouldn’t.
ReplyDeleteThis place has stolen my heart! I love everything about it. I looked through the photos on the link and I could picture myself cooking in that wonderful kitchen and standing on that balcony looking at the views. Wow! It's simply perfect.
ReplyDeleteThere were some very impressive buildings in Mount Street, but I don't particularly remember this one. Time to have a look at photos from the time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful looking place but it doesn't appeal to me. I like smaller places with lots of trees and water close by.
ReplyDeleteLovely, bright sunshine and I love the color of the trees. Beautiful building!
ReplyDeleteWow so beautiful views.
ReplyDeleteAwesome building.
The building doesn't look dated - some Deco shows its age. This looks very nice. And I love the views from inside the apartment. Definitely not budget living, is it?
ReplyDeleteSometimes I really want to be rich, Grace! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen, though... so "dark" and small.
Its a lovely building indeed.
ReplyDeleteGosto muito da arquitectura da Art Déco.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de boa semana.

ReplyDeleteIt is a beauty, Grace. And I am a lover of curves.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...but wow the price!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Stunning place, that curved living room/balcony! ooh la la
ReplyDeleteLove those buildings! Nice of photos of them.
ReplyDeleteWe have a city in the desert here named Palm Springs. There are many art-deco houses and buildings there.
Wow! This building is something, speaking of circular balconies this one is gracefully stunning!
