If you've been reading about Perth here for a while you will know how much I 💙 St Georges Terrace. The terrace, running parallel with the Swan River is the heart of Perth's CBD, the architecture an eclectic mix of heritage nestled between modern skyscrapers. It's where you will unexpectedly come across a window like this filled with fabulous vintage lunch boxes and reflections of life on the terrace. Nice one Lunchbox, such a cool window display. Was hard to choose which lunchboxes to highlight, settled for the original line-up of Australia's iconic rock band AC/DC, bet that was a big seller in the 70's and the ever glamorous Marilyn Monroe. Do you have memories of a favourite lunchbox, or like me, was it waaay too long ago to remember :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe..
I can't recall ever having a lunch box. It was usually packed in a paper bag.

...my lunch box days go a lot farer back than AC/DC! 😀
ReplyDeleteOh I made $$$ with Highway to Hell in my dancer days! A crowd favourite ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I had a lunch box at all. Must have had a bag of some kind.
ReplyDeleteLove the Marilyn lunchbox! Such a unique display!
ReplyDeleteThese are some awesome lunchbox finds! They look like vintage, I love coming across shops like these. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, thanks for the share. Keep up the posts.
ReplyDeleteWorld of Animals
Wish I had of had a lunch box like that, think mine were in just in a plastic container. Had a really bad coughing fit today so it is still around!! Keep well and enjoy the weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteGoodness having a lunchbox was a big deal in my day! I too love your visits here, especially your opening photo! Lovely view!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the collection of lunch boxes. My lunch was in a bag and it had my name on it thanks to mom.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great reflection photo. So urban and so hip.
ReplyDeleteThey are great. Like you, I cannot remember mine, but I expect it was some plastic thing, containing my Vegemite or jam sandwiches wrapped in wax paper.
ReplyDeleteMy lunch boxes were the humble paper bag with stuff wrapped in waxed paper. I think the ones sold then were either Disney -- Mickey, Minnie, and Donald Duck -- or something like Hopalong Cassidy.
ReplyDeleteI think mine said "Margarine" on the lid - my mother used to obtain the catering packs of marg from her work and use the empties for our lunches. Can't have been very cool by I don't remember anyone commenting on it.
ReplyDeleteA fun post. Your header is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteWe never made the lunch box brigade Grace. We were happy with are glad wrapped sandwiches in a paper bag though.
ReplyDeleteNice that collection. Never had those with pictures here.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that lunchboxes overhere, so I have no memories for you :)
ReplyDeleteI´m packing a lunchbox - these days on a cooler - every working night, Grace :-)
ReplyDeleteLooove the Monroe-shot, too! Very much.
I took my lunch to school in a brown paper bag...but my girls had lunch boxes. I did just buy my granddaughter a new one and it was the theme of the movie Frozen.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a collection! I can't remember if I ever had a lunch box. I do remember school lunches so maybe I didn't have one.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of lunchboxes. Can't remember having one, maybe no such a fancy thing in my time?
ReplyDeleteThis is a lunchbox? For school children?
