All hands on deck!

It was a fine day for yachting.. cloudy but clear with a strong wind a-blowin' :) I'm 99.9% sure this is a Fremantle Sailing Club event. I will even go out on a limb and say it could be a race in the  Onesails Challenger Cup Inshore Winter Series. I took these shots with my long lens from a very long way away, next time I want to get closer to capture the hoisting of sails and cutting of jibs :) Yachting looks like a lot of fun, pity about the 'fear of deep water' phobia! Hope you're enjoying the weekend, take care and stay safe..

  2. Oh my goodness, the water is simply inviting, and such vivid red white and blue colors stand out so much for me! Enjoy your weekend, and the water!

  3. It is official, this post pushed me over the top: the lagoon and bay are not enough. I must see boats on the sea soon!

  5. Love the spinnakers...nicely taken even from a distance away. Once when Don and were "camped" in our motorhome at Eglin AFB in FL (on the gulf coast) we happened to be there when the sail boats were racing and got to see all the colorful spinnakers going by...exciting!

  8. Wonderful colourful photos of the sails. We can shake hands about the deep water fobia. I wouldn't be on such a tiny boat....

  10. When I was in high school, I used to sail every afternoon for my sport. It was such fun. Little boats that held just two. I remember acting silly and turning it over. Geeze..I was in trouble. Had to bilge that thing for hours. These are such pretty picture. The blues are heavenly.

  11. Looks like fun, Grace. You are lucky to live near the water.

And, thanks for your blog and FB visits while I was away. Believe it or not, I have to go away for the weekend so won't be able to start my own visits to Perth and you until Tuesday . . . Sorry.
