I think this is the first time I've taken a shot of The Old Brewery, formerly the Swan Brewery (image c1890) from this spot. Lucky to catch three black swans flying overhead in the shot below.. I can't swear that they are black swans but for the purpose of the title, yes absolutely :) The expanse of sky over water appealed to me in this shot. Below behind the brewery you can see the Federation Walkway up in Kings Park, 'a walk among the treetops with a view of the city'.. even with a height phobia I enjoy this walk...
... and in support of the second part of the title.. below, tourists unaware that the black swans on the river can get a wee bit tetchy, especially if you want to take photos without offering fodder in exchange :) Fortunately these two beauties couldn't have been more aloof as they swam off! Hope your week is progressing well, happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe...
What beauties those swans are.
ReplyDeleteGrace it's a perfect shot with the 3 birds (swans or no) in it :)
ReplyDeleteI think that you are safe looking them black swans.
ReplyDeleteSwedish swans are just the same! although white.

What luck to catch the birds flying by, Grace!
ReplyDeleteNice birds and splendid skies too. You've just reminded me that we had a pair of Black Swans on the river in Cambridge at one time (escaped ones from a wildfowl collection, of course).
ReplyDeleteA couple of fantastic views with a really great sky. Those black swans are such beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteThe black swans definitely add their beauty to the image. I never saw a black swan or even knew they existed. Now I do, thanks Grace for enlightening me,
ReplyDeleteBig skies in a big country. It is a good angle to photograph the brewery.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful scene. The black geese still knock me out, and yes: geese can be tough birds :)
ReplyDeleteI am still trying to get used to the idea of a black swan. I have learned so much since I started blogging. Have a good week. Thinking of you. genie
ReplyDeleteLove the sky.
ReplyDeleteBlack swans have an attitude! Great shots, Grace, take care.

When I saw your title my immediate thought was 'will they be black swans?' I love them and a big 'wow' to the clouds in your top shot.
ReplyDeleteBlack swans we don't see here so often, but the white ones can be angry too when you come to close to their children.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view and pics.
ReplyDeleteDefo, Grace, three black swans flying over the river :-)
ReplyDeleteMy cousin as a kid was attacked by a white swan over here, I´m careful since then!
Black swans...how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSky & Sea make for such good pics!!

ReplyDeleteI'm always very wary of swans!
