Weekend reflections.. Return of the redhead!

Took this shot while waiting at the Perth Domestic Airport for Aimee's plane to arrive from Sydney a few weeks ago.. I liked the half inside the terminal and half outside on the tarmac look created by my own shadow on the glass :) The shot below is a shocker but it does give a sense of the hustle and bustle out there on the tarmac and of course there's the redhead standing out in the crowd as always, it was good to have her home although it's always a wrench for all of us whenever we have to say goodbye to our precious Sydney famille. Bon weekend, take care and stay safe...

  1. I love that top shot with the reflection. We can't get shots like this anymore because you can't get near the departure/arrival gates unless you are actually a passenger. I meant to take a few shots when I flew to California and back last weekend but when I was in that crowd of luggage hauling people I totally forgot.

  6. Clever picture the first one.
Why are airports such horrible places.

  7. That's a good reflection using your shadow, a very creative idea. :) Airports can be crazy sometimes and relaxing other times. Little of both.
    Have a great weekend Grace!

Is it your daughter waving outside the plane?

  14. That is a great reflection with both inside and outside at airport. In answer to your question, Yes, that is a regular Seattle manhole cover in the street downtown. And I agree with you about chocolate being soul food.

  18. Red hair is extremely handy when trying to spot people in crowds! Your shots remind me of a time long ago when you could sit on an observation deck at Heathrow and watch the planes landing and taking off - no longer possible in these days of maximum security of course.

  19. Great shots, Grace!
Yes, it must be hard to have family so far away... not to mention having to fly to see them...

  20. Extraordinary light effect in that first photo. It is almost surreal. And love the warm golden glow round the tarmac in the second photo.
