Is it just me..or does anyone else think that the carpel parts of a flower can sometimes look a wee bit like a little 'alien' awakening after a ballistic flight from outer space trying to fight it's way out of a 'sticky' situation, legs and arms flailing wildly..do you see it? Phew! I knew it wasn't just me :) Keep your eye open for something weird and wonderful today, happy Thursday..take care.....
Nope, I see it too. I love the new header by the way!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like an alien to me! Great capture!
ReplyDeleteHehe:) I thought you were going to say something else. An alien....okay:) Loving the brilliant macro.
ReplyDeleteI just purchased a new lens for the camera which will allow me to take better detailed shots of the smaller birds. For every one of those bird shots, there are about 30 that don't turn out. But this new camera will eliminate that...but the shutter speed is much faster and I have to be careful pushing the trigger. I need to learn how to step back and look at the full picture like you do as the story is much clearer with the bigger landscape shots. For example, the shot of all the people in park watching the light over the ocean was incredible.
PS. Love your new profile pic. Fun stuff!
Lovely stuff!
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely an alien, Grace ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat macro!
Oh, an alien without a doubt!! What a great macro!! AND I love your new header!! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLol, sorry, I hadn't seen it that way... Lovely macro shot!
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots! :-)
ReplyDeleteKind greetings from the Netherlands,
DzjieDzjee
Well, now you mention it....LOL
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, I was reminded of the animated flower faces in Walt Disney's "Alice in Wonderland", always a favorite. Flowers have such personalities; no wonder we see expressions.
ReplyDeletebtw, your shot of the Perth Arena is spectacular. You're making ME want to visit.
ReplyDeleteHa,ha, when you look at it that way is seems a weird creature.
ReplyDeleteFirst off. Mr LOL is getting better and he sends his regards to you! Beautiful flower and so neat to be drawn to have a closer look. Love your header, Grace! Hope you are pain free.
ReplyDeleteYes, I see it! Gorgeous details in both captures. Also, loving the new arena banner - what an amazing structure!
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning color! But I'm not going to tell you what I think it looks like!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I agree about the alien thingy.
ReplyDeletelove the new cover picture!
ReplyDeleteThe little 'alien' is yelling out "Come to PERTH, but if you can't PDP is sending images on some strange thing they have on earth"
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. These images could be alien, a microscopic picture of a pathogen or a model of a molecule.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, we were not in the bleachers at the baseball game in Chicago, In fact, we all chipped in and got a private suite with food service. The bleachers are the cheapest seats in a baseball stadium at the far end of the field, always uncovered (hence bleachers) and made up of benches rather than chairs. You can see it in a photo taken from our office's season tickets at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bobcrowe/8639460204/. Note the area at the far back on either side of the Ford sign.
He wriggling to get out! Beautiful macro and the colors just make me giddy!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
