I'm sure they're everywhere under one name or another, stores that lure unsuspecting men like bees to honey and once they get the taste there's no going back, seduced by aisles laden with man treasure! The masculine mantra 'I'm just off to
Bunnings back in five'...hours that is :) Yesterday I went into Bunnings with mon ami Marie and watched while waiting the concentrated viewing of a future lawn mower purchase, or was he just hypnotized by the possibilities! Surely it can't be Friday already, seriously where did the week go! Happy day, take care and stay safe.. p.s. it didn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes :)
It's so true, and all the same no matter where you're living! :o)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day, dear Gracie!
Oh, yes! You and Malyss are both SO right!! No matter where you're living!! You've captured it perfectly!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend -- where did this past week go???? Seems like it was just Monday???
ReplyDeleteWe are all so predictable - at least most of us are! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOMG Home Depot is my husband's sanctuary.
ReplyDeleteLOL I'm drawn to places like that too! (Perhaps I'm in touch with my masculine side, haha;-) The possibilities at Bunnings look especially wide-ranging, no wonder this one looks hypnotized!! (Oh, yes, some of the magnolias smell lovely, and also more delicate than you think:)
ReplyDeleteDoes Bunnings have a golf section?
ReplyDeleteGuilty as charged. I love looking around our local DIY shops - especially the garden centre. Can I get an introduction to the lawn mower chap? :)
ReplyDelete:-) An universal scene!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Ciel is sooo right... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI quit mowing the lawn years ago. Bit of a jungle these days. Which is good for the local insects.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me smile. How brilliant of you to feature such a universal scene, familiar to everyone no matter where they live. If it isn't the Home Depot store, it's one of those huge sporting good stores where I have seen men afflicted with the same malady that the fellow in your photo appears to be suffering from. (Of course nothing like this ever happens to we females, does it? :-))
ReplyDeleteYup, my wife knows that when I say I'm off to Home Depot to just get a few things I probably will not be home very soon.
ReplyDeleteSince I started hiring out our yard work, this is not much of a "man trap" for me. Now, if you had showed a golf store, that's quite a different matter!
ReplyDeleteRe your question on The Villages: The theater is in the new hometown of Brownwood. We've been inside the theater but have not watched a movie there - when we go to Brownwood (which is about 45 minutes from where we live), we just walk around, maybe get a bite to eat and then head home. :)
Sometimes it seems like they are talking with the product.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Too funny!!! Makes me laugh even more since I have followed Mr LOL around Bunnings near Melbourne more than once on our trips to OZ. Great post! (PS. Noted re benches :).)
ReplyDeleteHa ha, this looks just like Bati Le Clerc here in La Rochefoucauld. Diane
ReplyDeleteActually... if he is anything like me he just being careful to get one he can be sure that his woman can use, so that he can get out on the golf course.
ReplyDeleteLooks quite similar to our Canadian Tire stores....
ReplyDeleteI love home improvement stores. I want a job as a paint mixologist when I retire.
ReplyDeleteOkay Grace, which type of store leaves you standing in an aisle transfixed? Quite a few of your readers vote for golf shops, Great observation, though.
ReplyDeleteWho cares about lawn mowers when cutie pies like him are hanging about?
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up Grace.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he is in need of a good Ryobi.
ReplyDeleteRyobi is a funny word. You were in the boys clubhouse!
ReplyDeleteHmmm interesting.....
ReplyDeleteMen have really other interests than we, you captured the moment very good. Can't imagine what to look at in such a store but I always have to look after my husband who does the same as your man in the photo.
ReplyDeleteHa, I have to admit, I'm not one of these guys. I don't like to shop and tools, well, I try to avoid them :^)
ReplyDeleteoh girl, I need to confess I'm always bored and confused when I need to do shop in this kind of store, opssss :)
ReplyDeleteBut I would be very glad and first in line to visit one shoes store!
hugs and happy weekend,
Léia
