Abseil for PMH.. It's a long way down!

On seeing the intimidating height of the QV.1 building ahead as we came off the freeway into the city early yesterday morning I turned to Aimee, who was about to Abseil for PMH, and said "there's still time to change your mind"! The sky turned from grey to blue and back to grey many times during the morning but thankfully it didn't rain. Check out the video here (one minute 33 seconds) to see why and where and some fabulous views of Perth from the top of the QV.1..

Aimee's group of four were first up, looking pretty relaxed below before the event. Para-triathlete Brant Garvey was in her foursome.. there were cameras :)

Aimee, second from the left, getting ready to take the first steps..down!

Almost half way. I know right.. madness!

Almost there! Not sure exactly how long it took, but when your heart is in your mouth it seemed a long time :)

Loved the support Aimee got from fellow participants, family and work-mates (so many of them) throughout the whole journey down the cheering was enthusiastically loud and impressive..

... and this is what it was all about! Money raised for the very best of causes.Super proud of you Aimee but can you please tick that off your bucket list and never do it again :) Sorry about the overload of pics and lack of visits, it was quite a day! Catch up today, happy Friday, take care and stay safe...

  11. Wow, she is amazingly brave to go off the edge of that building. You are right, it is a very long way down. At least you were there to document her descent.

  12. Wow! What a great accomplishment. Your photos really gave a sense to how high the building is and how long the descent was. Great job in documenting it!

  30. Don't know how I missed this one Grace. Aimee would make a fine Truckie! Now for Truckie, A firefighter assigned to a truck company or better known as a ladder or hook & ladder company. She's brave enough to do this I know she'd fit right in, especially for rescue.
