SpongeBob SquarePants and a bit of magic!

If like me you had never heard of SpongeBob SquarePants who lives with his friends in the underwater city of 'Bikini Bottom' :) let me introduce you! I first became aware of SpongeBob ten months ago during weekly sleepovers with my dear great niece and nephew after they lost their mum in a road accident. It was an after diner before bedtime ritual that brought a smile at a very sad time. A multi award winning show the content had me chuckling when I least expected it. Here painted on a wall in North Perth by WA artist Idol Motions.

Did I mention a birthday party. There was a magician aka Al Kazam who held 15 young children and numerous adults :) under his spell for an hour. Too cool in his...

...magician's shoes! See how I made his middle disappear.. I'm a fast learner :) Up before the crack of dawn today for the Anzac Day Dawn Service, rain expected.. show you tomorrow. Happy Monday, take care and stay safe...

  9. Very cool shoes. Well, the rain held off and half of Perth has walked past our accommodation this morning and yes, we climbed the hill.

  12. You don't know Sponge Bob? I admit to being a bit of an old curmudgeon and Madeleine doesn't watch TV, and I know Sponge Bob. I think it was created by the Dadaists.

  13. I have heard of Sponge bob but don't know any details. Sorry to hear about your niece I remember you telling us about a tragedy in the family but didn't know who. It must be so hard for your family and the children.

  14. I am not in little children anymore so I don't know much about Sponge Bob. It must be a mixed memory for you I am afraid. The magican must have been a great teacher, you learned very fast!

  17. I don't know much about Sponge Bob, other than that some of our Republican politicians think he's a homosexual, teaching our children how to be the same. But then, these people are crazier than hell!

  22. Sponge Bob has been around for a very long time. This version looks a whole lot angrier than I remember seeing. Maybe he got the bends. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  25. Bikini Bottom? Someone has a sense of humor. I know nothing about Mr. Sponge Bob, though I expect that my education will be coming. (Like your shots of the magician.)
