Va Va Voom! Wear a red dress, works every time :) Driving past Hyde Park on the way home from breakfast in Mount Lawley it would have almost been impolite not to stop and capture the flamboyance that is the Flame Tree in flower. I kid you not, anyone who has seen a 'brachychiton acerifolius' surely must agree that this beauty would be the belle of any ball.. there has been no primping or accentuating the colour here, what you see is what you get! This beauty is the perfect analogy to the weather in Perth right now.. flaming hot! Happy first Monday of 2016, take care and stay safe.. p.s. yes I agree, my car window does need a clean :)
Beautiful tree!
ReplyDeleteCet arbre est vraiment superbe et quelles couleurs ! ;o)
ReplyDeleteWow! that would really catch your eyel Happy New Year Grace!
ReplyDeleteA real showoff. :-)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful sight. Such colour is pleasing to the eye.
ReplyDeleteOf course I had to wipe the rain of my glasses to see it....
Hi, gal...What a gorgeous tree. That is one knock out red. It definitely stands out in the crowd. Back to the sewing machine. Quit for a couple of weeks for a rest, but am back at it now. Take Care.
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible, Grace!
ReplyDeleteBlazing... and glorious!
ReplyDeleteLiterally, brilliant. There was a great tv show many years ago called The Flame Trees of Thika and I think, from memory, flame trees were planting alongside the driveway leading to the house.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful tree. And, yup. A red dress does catch attention. So long as it packages someone worth admiring. But, you, Grace, would catch attention in beige!
ReplyDeleteAh, a beautiful tree indeed and terrific captures as always! A wonderful post to start the new year!!
ReplyDeleteNow that is one red rich colored tree! It would make me pull over and shoot it too!
ReplyDeleteCall the fire department.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing. If I didn't know the context I'd sweat the color was boosted in the computer.
ReplyDeleteFlaming beauty!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful just glowing with colour. Happy New Year for you too, hope all goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow! That is one stand-out-of-the-crowd kind of tree. It really is incredible.....and gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder it's called a flame tree! Marvelous!
ReplyDeleteI've seen pictures before but never one in real life. As you say, a real "look at me" specimen. Hard to believe that the colours are so vivid.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is a flaming tree, looka a bit like our autumn trees, but this one is even more red.
ReplyDeleteWow, simply wonderful, Grace !
ReplyDeleteWow, that´s beautiful, Grace! Minus 7C over here. At daytime, bu-huuu.
ReplyDeleteThis tree is definitely a standout!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is RED!
ReplyDeleteFlame is the right word for this tree. Awe inspiring. Reminds me, too, of a certain redhead...let's see, what's her name? Maureen O'Hara? Well, she's a redhead but not the one I'm thinking of...the latter lives in Perth I believe...Hmm...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous touch of colour! Arianna
ReplyDeleteSo adore the vibrancy of the flame tree. A wonderful addition to the streetscape. It brings it alive.
