No.1 St. Georges Terrace..five star reflections.

Five star reflections! The Duxton Hotel.. No 1 St. Georges Terrace reflected in the ANZ Bank building. Below you can just see the hotel entrance through the palm trees. I don't often taken shots from this end of the terrace, I'm usually up around the top end which if numbers count must be the bottom end as the Duxton is No 1 and therefore the beginning, are you confused yet :) What would John Septimus Roe (below) first Surveyor General of WA think of the terrace now, all those shiny glass skyscrapers.. thankfully there are still many of the original heritage buildings amongst the new, all is not lost! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe..

  1. Great captures for the day, Grace, as always!! I do love the reflections in the first shot!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend -- we're having another bordering on 100 degrees!! Never seen/felt heat in Oregon like this for this long and they're predicting ten more days of the same!! I might as well move back to Texas!!! Hope you have a fun and beautiful weekend!!

  4. It seems to me that the most beautiful reflections just bounce around all over Perth!

  6. I've often thought about what our ancestors would think about things if they saw them now. When I was doing contract work in Chicago and would fly home to Arizona every other weekend, I often wondered what my grandfather would have thought about my jet set lifestyle. He passed away long before air travel was such a common thing.
    Great reflection shot!
