Almost worth getting wet.....

You can tell by the lady's hair that even though the sun is shining and the sky is blue there is a cooler autumn breeze blowing along the coast! What was that....? what lady did you say, haha! My fear of deep water and nasty swimmy things overrules the possibility of my ever being rescued by the able bodied young lifeguard from the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club who would look quite at home on Baywatch right! Seriously these young men and women do a fantastic job every day keeping our beaches safe for the many thousands of folk who are mad enough to dive into the Indian Ocean :) They start training from as young as five and whenever I get a chance to watch the juniors I enjoy seeing how much energy and enthusiasm they put into every session. Hope your week is going well, have a good Thursday..take care..p.s. pretty hectic around here yesterday, catch up today.....

  2. Haha...I actually had to scroll back to the photo to see what girl you were talking about. That is one buff life guard. I'm with you on the plunging into the water option. I'll just have to watch him from the sidelines.

  3. And we are supposed to believe that you took this photo to show us the lady with the windblown hair? Heh, heh! That ain't gonna work! But nice try.

You're right about lifeguards. They've got a tough job, especially because so many people don't obey warning signs. Along our east coast, people are constantly getting bitten by sharks or pulled out to sea by the undertow because they ignored the warning signs and those things give the lifeguards lots of unnecessary work!

  4. I'm with you Grace. I'll only swim in a pool where I can see the bottom! Mind you, Mr Lifeguard makes my choice a bit questionable. Decisions, Decisions!

  5. Oh, wow, Grace! I´d definitively try the sea, that guy is hot :-)
    Way too young, but hot!

Cold and very, very windy over here today, and rainy. Has autumn arrived already, did we skip spring and summer?

  6. Umm...there's a lady in the photo too? Didn't notice ;-) And all that's running though my head now is a loud rendition of "Rescue me!"

  11. That guy sure looks fit. I have to confess to never ever been to a gym in my life, so I don't look like that at all.

  12. I don't swim! :(

If you try to show any lady in the photos, how can I see when you included that cool guy sitting there?! ;)

  16. If I had to be rescued in a swirling ocean - I'd choose Cottesloe Beach ....as long as Mr Baywatch was on duty of course!

  17. Well, he can't possibly be any worse of an actor than Hasselhoff, who sets that bar pretty low, right?

Now if you'll excuse me, I've just annoyed the entire country of Germany.

    Again.

  18. Dare I criticize the young man's physique, knowing that my own photo appeared very recently on my own blog (though with shirt and jacket on) but... honestly, his skinny legs don't match his upper body, in fact they look photoshopped on. He's spent all that time lifting weight with his arms but forgotten about the legs. I am a much more balanced specimen, equally underdeveloped in all parts. Make your choice ladies... Oh. Where's everybody gone?

  19. They are opening a natatorium here soon and if the lifeguards look have this good I may never come home. LOL. Don't tell my husband.

  20. I'm wondering what temperatures you consider "cool." It could be the same as the ones that think of as "warm." :))

  21. I agree, that lifeguard sure is fit.

  22. So is that a lifeguard training session in the second picture? We don't need them here. It's rare that someone is foolish enough to take a plunge in the Mississippi.
