I'm sure it's a common sight in cities and suburbs around the world.. groups of cyclists stopping for a caffeine infusion before heading off on their travels. This group were just leaving as we arrived at Rifos Cafe in Maylands on Saturday morning, can't vouch for the food because we didn't eat, but the coffee was excellent! I went looking and found a church but not happy with the results, too overcast.. on the plus side I found a delightful mural, show you tomorrow. Also if you pull the shots in, how about those street lights.. pretty fabulous right! Hope you had/are having a good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe...
I see these cyclists, like so many others, dress in a herd mentality. :)
ReplyDeleteIn these parts the cyclists (aside from the really crazy ones who have been cycling through the winter) are raring to go as spring gets underway.
I love how you get out and about, taking us along with you, G!
ReplyDeleteIt still seems strange when I visit your blog to so often see it is tomorrow already!!
ReplyDeleteHere I am just about to prepare our Sunday evening meal and I'm looking at cyclists on Monday in Australia ...
Our world sure is amazing
Hope your weekend was a good one.
Have a good new week ahead
All the best Jan

Happy Spring, Grace!! Cyclists are a sure sign of spring here, but it hasn't occurred yet—darn!
ReplyDeleteLove bicycling. I seldom wear the funny clothes though.
ReplyDeleteVery nice looking place. The street lights remind me of flowers.
So, did you get your bicycle out and go join them on the ride Grace?
Nice shots! We have a lot of that group cycling here. --Grace, it was not a reflection, although it does look like one. It is a huge chandelier.
ReplyDeleteI must get back out on the bike.
ReplyDeleteIf only it wasn't for this old war wound...
Cyclists are riding a lot more here too. They wear bright yellow tops that you can't miss. I must go now and have my caffeine infusion :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, those are great street lights. I see lots of cyclists here this time of year. Not so much in the summer months.
ReplyDeleteIt was +3˚C but sunny here yesterday (Saturday) so there were lots of cyclists out. Love the streetlights, grace!
ReplyDeleteLooks like another caffeine hit and run. :-)
ReplyDeleteModern and new in the matter of utilities does not have to mean entirely functional and without any decoration. I am not sure that I like them but at least some thought was given to the design beyond function.
ReplyDeleteOn occasion we get cyclists from a local college cycling team, but that is about it. Nice shots for today!
ReplyDeleteTrue, the streetlights are nice!
ReplyDeleteNot very clever to drink caffeine while out on a bike ride as you need more pit stops then! These guys looks to be serious cyclists though, my kind of people.
ReplyDeleteWell caught Grace, I like the black and white version...always good to find a good coffee stop...
ReplyDeleteGot to say that the color photo has the dynamic needed for bike riders battling the elements and straining their reserves of energy. Loved your comment, "found a church but not happy with the results." That's generally been my experience. :))
ReplyDeleteYou oughta do more B&Ws 'cause this one is really good.
ReplyDeleteInteresting activity at the cafe.
ReplyDeleteEt pendant ce temps les autres se prélasse au café
ReplyDeletekeep on peddling
ReplyDeleteI don't see the bikers stopping for coffee much here. I like yours in black and white though!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, they feel really like professionals with the costumes.
ReplyDeleteGroups of cyclists riding together really frighten me when I'm driving...
ReplyDeleteBiking is a great way to see the world. Street lights are pretty. I like that brick street too.
ReplyDeleteWe have more and more cyclists on the roads here. If more people would use bikes, our air would be cleaner. We've had some problems with cyclists being hit by cars, though. Maybe bike lanes on the roads might be a good idea?
ReplyDeleteI go with Sami here! It´s a nightmare for car drivers.
ReplyDeleteThe latern is beautiful indeed, Grace.
I love those street lights and am glad you mentioned them. I was so focused on the cyclists I don't think I would have even noticed!
ReplyDeleteIt's usual to see cyclists in the weekend also here! Arianna
ReplyDeleteHealthy hobby!!
