... there are so many things that I can see
Save the trees, save the earth
We are the guardians of nature's birth.. from a poem by Laleta Davis-Mattis
Who doesn't loved trees.. we saw these beauties when we were in Kalamunda on Monday. I can't 100% swear to it but I'm pretty sure from their smooth pink bark they are Eucalyptus_salmonophloia aka salmon gums, they grow as high as 30metres. I think on 'love a tree day', May 16th, we should all go out and hug a tree and post a shot to prove it, I'm definitely going to, I don't hug trees nearly often enough :) who's with me! Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. p.s. the lady walking under the trees in the above shot will give you an idea of the height, incroyable oui! p.p.s. hopefully back to normal size script tomorrow :)
Gigantic indeed! I will have to remember to hug a tree.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are impressive- and the texture of the trunk's different, of course, than anything I'm used to.
ReplyDeleteI love the towering Rainbow Eucalyptus here on Maui
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. And although in some places "tree huggers" is a put-down, I'm all for tree-hugging, and tree-preserving!
ReplyDeleteJa Bäume sind klasse werde einen schönen Baum suchen am 16.Mai.

I'm amazed at the colour and texture of the bark in the second photo. Magical Grace. I love trees!
ReplyDeleteWill have to remember to hug a tree on May 16, Grace!
ReplyDeleteYes, those trees are very tall and unique. Trees always can use a hug or two :)
ReplyDeleteIt's in my diary!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous trees Grace, get out there and hug as many as poss..
ReplyDeleteIf they're Ents, they might hug you back. :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful G.
ReplyDeleteI was shooting eucalyptus here in Calif today!
Truly beautiful and tall tress.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous trees! I love that you included a human in the shot to provide perspective. Those are some TALL trees. I'm on board to hug a tree on May 16th (although, I may need a reminder…) : )
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! I love the look of that smooth pink bark.
ReplyDeleteVery nice straight trees. I wish my father was still around as he would have been able calculate how many houses he could build from the trees. He loved the smell of chainsaw fuel in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteIt makes Americans think of the giant redwoods in California.
ReplyDeleteIf it weren't for trees we'd all need bottled oxygen.
Oh my goodness Grace .. they are so so tall. I wonder how old they are.
ReplyDeleteTall and beautiful, Grace, the trunks are much different I'm used here.
ReplyDeleteThat is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge tree!
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've seen those kind of trees. If you like trees, and you ever venture to California, you'll love the Giant Redwoods.
ReplyDeleteMighty giants!
ReplyDeleteWow humongously tall!! Love the psrspective in the 2nd pic!
ReplyDeleteI'm a tree hugger, too--and that's definitely a tall tree!
ReplyDeleteWow, that sure is tall, Grace! I took a note in my calendar. Yes, trees are important, there was a Simpsons episode on this (Lisa suggested the fishermen should stop fishing and then... they cut off all the trees - not what Lisa wanted to happen!).
ReplyDeleteAmazingly tall for sure! I do love trees and I'd love to participate in the May 16th tree hugging idea! Count me in. Now I just need to remember.
ReplyDeleteI think you want to climb on the second
ReplyDeleteSo, so tall ... I just love all sorts of trees, didn't realise there was a hug a tree day!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Awesome trees and SO TALL!! Great shots for the day, as always, Grace!! I do hope your week is going well!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this variety of eucalypt before. The pink tone is extraordinary. I don't hug a tree enough either, but always love trees.
ReplyDeleteThey are tall, SKINNY trees...
