When I get old and this big old garden of mine gets too much for me to handle..any day now :) I wouldn't mind downsizing into one of these beautifully restored old cottages, or something similar, check out those gorgeous details. Downsizing in 'size' to certain areas in Perth, or anywhere I guess, doesn't equate to downsizing in price, at well over the million dollar mark, it would have to be my house and a lotto win :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
Impressive architecture! Those balcony railings are quite photogenic, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteYou would want a balcony for the view and photo opportunities :)
ReplyDeleteO yes, they do that here as well
ReplyDeleteOh, it would be delightful to live in one of these units. Yes, winning the lottery would be wonderful. I would be history here if that were the case.
ReplyDeleteThey look brilliant, Grace!
ReplyDeleteNice house but you would be too good for the rich people.
ReplyDeleteLove those iron filigrain balconies, could live there too.....
ReplyDeleteI'm sure many of us would be very happy living there ...
ReplyDeleteBut home is where the heart is!
All the best Jan
Wow, they are so picturesque.

Good luck with the Lotto. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, these are gorgeous. Looks like a very nice place to live and with that price tag it must be. How on earth did real estate prices get so outrageous. My first house cost $18.000. You can't even get a decent car for that anymore.
ReplyDeleteSuits me :).
ReplyDeleteThese are very charming! I would gladly take one!
ReplyDeleteVery handsome houses. Originally they would have been quite dark inside, but I would bet they are not now, probably having been opened up at the rear.
ReplyDeleteFabulousl houses Grace, property worldwide just seems to go up and up....I'm sure you'll have many more years in your current home...
ReplyDeleteIt looks good, Grace, but you are far too young for this.
ReplyDeletewow, what architectural detail
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the details...nor the price.
ReplyDeleteI love the balconies.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the photo again, I think they are in Subiaco, no? If so, one of my friends owns one of those little houses as an investment property!
DeleteOver a million AU$ for one of these? It's the same in most American cities and I simply can't understand where the buyers with that kind of money come from.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a charming place!
ReplyDeleteTiny living is not all it's cracked up to be. Enjoy your garden for a long long time!
ReplyDeleteI really love the architecture here - and I love that beautiful blue sky!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness these are so pretty! i could definitely "downsize" into one of these!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThere's much to be said for downsizing. As much as I'd like to have a house in the country with lots of space to accommodate any and all birds and other critters needing a home, Collin and I have a small apartment, not in the city, but close enough to restaurants and retail that we can walk where we're going most of the time. The other advantage is that when repairs are needed, we just call maintenance. No waiting weeks for a repairman, no extra expense.
Beautiful, Grace.
ReplyDeleteI just can´t imagine having a bbq on such a balcony?
Belas fotografias urbanas.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e uma Santa e Feliz Páscoa.

These are gorgeous. While in Sydney I used to live in house like those in the pictures. It was on Burke Street right across from Green Park in Darlinghurst.
ReplyDeleteHa! I wonder how many bathrooms are in those units.:-)
ReplyDeleteElegantly beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty place to live.
ReplyDeleteBut will you not miss your garden??
And will you (promise) to paint at least one wall inside, bright RED or another great colour. We better go for the lottery, me up in the north and you Down Under... ha-ha :-)
Thanks so much for sharing your ideas, i was looking for such article for many days...
