How do you get from here to there?

24C cloudy with a chance of rain ( it did) more today.. bliss! Couldn't resist this shot in North Perth on Sunday morning. Parked in companionable proximity the two modes of transport above couldn't possibly be more diverse! Then I got to thinking, as I do :) who would be the happiest here? Surely the owner of the distinguished and elegant Jaguar c1961 must live in horreur of this beauty being scratched or bumped, maybe only takes it out for a Sunday drive, while the inclement weather could be tricky for the owner of the delightfully shabby chic old scooter which looks like it could be of a similar vintage, check out that spare tire in the front :) On reflection I think my c2007 Holden Astra will do just fine, I just wish I hadn't chosen black.. a nightmare to keep clean :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...

  2. Oh, yes! Me, too!! With all the rain we've had this year, the last kind of transportation I would want would be the scooter!! Hope your week is going well!!

I have a black car too - I always say there is nothing like a black car, when it is clean! ;-)

  6. The car is a beauty but I wouldn't want to drive it. I prefer walking :)

  7. It would be so hard to choose.. I'm glad I don't have to!

  8. No question in my mind. I'm with Tom. The scooter. Owner probably smiles every time he or she opens her personal property tax bill. :-)

  9. How come old cars (& scooters) have more character than new ones?

  10. I've never seen that model before, well spotted and a lovely contrast between the two..

  11. I love those white wall tires on the Jaguar! It certainly has been well taken care of. I don't think I have ever seen a spare tire on a scooter before!

  12. Sharp looking Jaguar. Did you take it for a spin? Last few days have been about a summer-like 30C +/- here. Sure beats the cold blast we had from the north a few weeks ago.

  17. Nothing is prettier than a black car....when iit has just been washed. We had a black car....but since where we live in the summer doesn't have paved roads...it became a nightmare!

  18. Lovely Jag, but I love that scooter in that colour too. I would restore it to look tip top though...

  23. You have an excellent eye for catching these two beauties together. That Jaguar is deliciously elegant and that scooter is such a free spirit!

  27. HA! Great find and photos!
If I had to choose, I'd take the Jag, but I'd like to have both.

  28. As long as you get to where you want to go...

  29. Why couldn't we have both? Haha! But if it were me, I'd go for the car. It's a true statement right there! I mean we don't see many classic vehicles up in Ellenbrook these days and I would love to show one of these off to the neighbours!
