We took Aimee out to brunch for her birthday yesterday and continuing the breakfast/brunch adventure it was back out to Mount Lawley to the fairly new Betty and Dave's Espresso & Kitchen. Did you ever see so many ducks flying hither and thither en masse.. but if you notice above there are two empty spots, I found these two renegades around the corner, j'adore that they flew off to find their own way, there's a moral there somewhere :)
Aimee, of the mind that no one should work on their birthday :) organized a RDA and began the day with an early walk on the beach to invigorate body, mind.. and appetite :)
There were no disappointments.. poached eggs on a sweet potato rosti, surrounded by a green pea salad, I think there was a Nutella milkshake in the mix, for Aimee not moi :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
Nutella goes into milkshakes now? How does one get their hands on such liquid treasure?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine breakfast! Happy Birthday to the birthday girl <3

ReplyDeleteI agree with Aimee about not working on her birthday! I love those renegade ducks.

ReplyDeleteAre the two ducks lost? I think not.

ReplyDeleteNutella milkshakes? There's a place near us that has them. We've also had Nutella cheesecake.
Aww, what (romantic?) story those two ducks might have, Grace! Sweet idea! And they have rosti?! Switzer rosti? Oh, I could "die" for those (and have a convenience-pack from ALDI here!)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Aimee!
Okay, now I'm hungry!
ReplyDeleteMaybe those two ducks are "Jonathan Livingston Duck" and friend...
Happy birthday, Redhead!
ReplyDeleteI've always preferred to fly alone in my own direction
