A little teaser today as I got home late last night but I will say that if anyone in Perth is reading this, and I like to think there are, it's a long way to come from Versailles or the US :) but if you are in Perth you really should make an effort to see Exposing Edith (details of where and when).. one word, incroyable! Two of the many shots I took show the highs and lows that was Edith Piaf's life. More tomorrow, happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...
how long would it take for me to get to you on my paddle board?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to more. Appropriate to have these shots in black and white.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine this is quite something to see! Perfect expressive captures you caught too. Also, (the word lover in me) adores your use of incroyable!
ReplyDeleteFirst was aware of Edith Piaf in my French studies at school many years ago. Loved the Little Sparrow. A gutsy singer. That first image of this woman representing Piaf is stunning.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!! Wish I were there!!
ReplyDeleteWould that I were in Perth so I could come and see this remarkable lady :)
ReplyDeleteLove your shots, Grace!

ReplyDeleteOh that Edit!! I wondered about the title when you mentioned it yesterday. I can't wait to hear more. What a voice she had!
ReplyDeleteShe was a bit of an extraordinary tiny woman. Fabulous photos!
ReplyDeleteI really like the black and white.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the happy and sad masks often associated with theater.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, well captured ..
ReplyDeleteFrench Soul, Baby!
ReplyDeleteAs long as the voice is ok, no one can go wrong doing a Piaf show. She is just so popular, even though she has been dead a long time.
ReplyDeleteAlways liked Edith Piaf's music. It sure takes me back to an earlier era. Great photos. Don't know how you managed to shoot these pictures during a performance.
ReplyDeleteGreat Black and white pics Grace, very expressive!
ReplyDeleteShe must have had such an extraordinary life Grace.
