In total contrast to yesterdays destination The Aviary bar and restaurant is not in a heritage building in one of Perth's oldest suburbs but right slap bang in the city in the one of the newest additions to the Perth cityscape 140William. The contemporary architecture and eco-friendly design of 140 couldn't be more different from the Victorian elegance of the Peninsula Hotel. Neither could the clientele, the Dome a family friendly, casual environment.. the Aviary attracting the younger, trendier customers. Something for everyone in Perth :) Hope you've had a good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe...
It's so nice that you have a variety of cafes and restaurants for the people of Perth. I would like either this or the Dome depending on my mood on any given day. Love the red umbrellas...they're enticing and have a certain sexiness about them!
ReplyDeleteGreat captures for the day as always, Grace!! And always, a great start for my day!! Hope you have a great new week!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI just love the shape of this building and the umbrellas are a bonus.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm older...
ReplyDeleteTotally Dig The Contrast!! Well Done
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs
Colorful, and sharp detail, (my hubby would love the street name, it's his name) I'll have to check your post yesterday for more about this! Enjoy your weekend and take good care of you!
ReplyDeleteRooftop restaurants are a joy, esp if there is a decent view. Looks like this one has a vantage point for people watching. Red umbrellas are always eye-catching. We have several umbrellas yet I want out to buy a red one because it gives me a lift on a rainy day..
ReplyDeleteInteresting lines in the Avery, I think.
ReplyDeleteAny umbrella can come in handy, no matter the color.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
Looks nice up there:)
ReplyDeleteNice! I like the contrast.
ReplyDeleteI do like those umbrellas, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWe have several heritage neighborhoods here and it ensures that the flavour of the district can't be changed.
I love that first picture Grace, well spotted...
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great vantage point to enjoy a meal and the city vibe.
ReplyDeletePrince William??? :-)
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the Peninsula Hotel, but those red umbrellas are pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'll stay with DOME!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a shot looking down on those umbrellas....they sure do attract the attention.
ReplyDeleteThose red umbrella's are a necessary marketing tool I think Grace.
ReplyDeleteThose umbrellas really do "pop". Great eye-catchers.
ReplyDeleteThe umbrellas shout to you, come here, go up, join us!
ReplyDeleteThose red umbrellas are very eye-catching, one "MUST" go up there...!
ReplyDeleteI really think that rooftop location is tops! I've been there once with friends but found it a bit to loud...
ReplyDeleteLOL, it reminds me of our Maccas in the city, Grace! They had red umbrellas up in summer, too. Different clientel, though.
ReplyDeleteI like the "trendy" look of this place. What can I say, I like variety. The red umbrellas make it a stand out.
ReplyDeleteHa, and I was expecting to see photos of feathered birds in the aviary today LOL. Have a good week Diane
ReplyDeleteI love the bright color of the umbrellas! Very nice.

ReplyDeleteIts a very interesting looking scene, but it's all about those red umbrellas. Very nice photos Grace.
ReplyDeleteI've always been a fan of umbrellas, especially photos and paintings of them! Great shot of them just slightly in view!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see a little bit of colour in the city isn't it? I think we could use more colour in then neighbourhoods in Bayswater! It would definitely make a difference to our daily commute!
