Walking up Roe St. in Northbridge I took this shot of the Horseshoe Bridge reflected in the State Theatre Centre. I love the way the bridge sweeps over into the city and am prepared to chain myself to it to save it if there is ever even a hint of it being removed in the name of progress :) See that little slither of a reflection in the middle of the road above, it's a puddle reflection.. those of you living in the northern hemisphere might not understand why this is so exciting, but here in Perth it's been a while since we've had the opportunity to take puddle pictures :) Let the rain continue! Bon weekend, take care and stay safe..

ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Puddle-mania. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful bridge - I'll come down and join you if they attempt to destroy it! ;-))
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely bridge Grace, and I am sure that any politician who even hinted at removing it would be hung, drawn and quartered. I can send you some puddles any time you like!
ReplyDeleteLovely reflections.
ReplyDeleteThe bridge is beautiful.
The bridge is stunning and so is your photo! Let's hope the powers-that-be don't kill the bridge like they do so many other good things!
ReplyDeleteI never think to look for reflections. Thanks for the reminder and what a great reflection you have here.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Love the colours. I've run out of reflections, I need to find new stuff...
ReplyDeleteA splendid reflection in that first shot! Hopefully you get more rain.
ReplyDeleteGrace, I haven't got to visit blogs in a long time ( Dennis has been pretty sick since December). I so enjoyed scrolling through your today. The beautiful colors, I'm very glad I made time!

From what I have heard, people in California would very well understand the excitement of seeing a puddle. The bridge is great. It is interesting to see what historical buildings have been saved and how they fit with modern buildings.
ReplyDeleteI love that first shot, very clever, it works really well..
ReplyDeletereminds me of lower Auckland city/downtown :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflection and you would be right to be mad if they wanted to take that bridge out. It's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteExcellent reflection.
ReplyDeleteWonderful perspective of these scenic reflections.
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition and reflections!
ReplyDeleteWell, Grace, what can I say. I was sad looking down to the Bell Tower from Kings Park, next time the view will be blocked, I guess. Destroying the bridge, though, that would really be "murder" to a true landmark of Perth.
ReplyDeleteAnd it does not fit into the concept of Perth! They manage so well to combine old and new...
Beautiful pic, but... I can´t spot the puddle, ours are a tad bigger... ;-)
I like that bridge too, hope it's never replaced, as Iris says, a mix of old and new looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the reflections image
ReplyDeleteThe bridge has an unusual colour for our northern eyes :) but I can imagine you don't want to miss it and I hope it will stay. About the puddle, I keep my mouth shut, this morning I had several of them in my garden, you are invited to come and join them.
ReplyDeleteThe reflections are perfect, the light and the colors amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection of a good looking bridge.
ReplyDeleteI love your reflections photographs, Grace!
