Riding the wind.....

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the nicest thing (?) about having a migraine is how good it feels when it's gone. Out and about for the first time in a few days Aimee and I had an early evening walk along Whitfords Beach, popular with both fishermen and kite boarders, so there was a fair bit of dodging lines! Interestingly I read that because the kite boarders go quite far out to sea (below), some of them, like surfers and divers now wear Shark Shields, sounds sensible! A typical warm summers night on the beach in Perth. Hope your week is off to a good start, take care and stay safe.....

  2. Beautiful, so miss the beach!
I had migraine for years. Then I took a chance and got - despite not believing in it - acupuncture. I took 8 sessions and it worked. The doc said, after a few years it might come back, which it did. Another 4 sessions later and since then - 1998, I guess - I´m practically migraine-free :-)

  9. Now that I've seen this pictures, I remembered that in a town near the mine had many Australians due to air its beaches for windsurfing. The village is called Tapia de Casariego.
Beautiful pictures of beach and kites

    1. You would never catch me doing what those young men are doing. You would catch me doing what those people in the last photo are doing, walking along the shore. But, sailing out into the ocean on a thin board....never.

  16. If I were in a place where a shark shield was recommended I would very soon be in another place.

  17. Your first photo has superb light, Grace. Glad you are feeling better. But, I am not going to volunteer for migraines just to experience how it feels when they depart.

  18. Yeah, tell me about it Grace! I also suffer from migraines, very debilitating at times. I agree about the best part though...when you can finally feel the pain declining...I'm tempted to get excited and try and do things...I have to tell myself to calm down and wait til it's all gone!

  24. We get quite a few kite boarders here, which surprises me because I don't think we usually have that much wind. Excellent news that you're feeling better!

  25. The light behind the sail in the top photo is spectacular. Would love to walk along the beach as my personal Walkabout! I want so badly to visit both Australia and New Zealand but it gets harder and harder to embark on those brutally long airline trips from here to there.
