Summer fling don't mean a thing,
A few stragglers at the end of a hot day, reluctant to head home to a hot house no doubt. Bit of a respite tomorrow and even the chance of a spot of rain, bliss! Hope that you've all recovered from your New Years festivities.. two glasses of champers and a tot of homemade
Atholl brose (Scottish tradition, lethal!) to bring in the new year was enough to ensure a throbbing headache the next morning pour moi, lightweight haha! Have a good Thursday, take care.. p.s. I dare you to click the link, you'll be singing all day.....
Beautiful place to walk off the effects of the Atholl brose!! Hope you're fully recovered and ready to tackle the new year -- I think I am???? maybe???
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I'd be among those stragglers, drinking in the last light of day. That link is lethal, indeed, I haven't heard that tune in ages...it'll be on my mind all day now I'm sure:)
ReplyDeleteHot house? Y'all don't have air conditioning?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful evening on the beach, though. A little party, perhaps. It sounds like you had a little too much partying! Heh, heh. I didn't click the link. I already have too many strange sounds banging around in my head!
superbe photo et couleur
ReplyDeleteyou need some pool boys with big floppy fronds to fan you as you laze on your chaize
ReplyDeleteLove the soft pink in the crepuscule sky Grace ..... We're in for a week of 40 + temperatures over here so no photo shoots for me this week .... Hot I don't like!!
ReplyDeletebeautiful summer nights, full of stories and feelings.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Beautiful color in the sky. I don't need to click the link, Grace...I'm already humming and typing to that tune in my head.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo! Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful shot, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference it makes, the other side of the world... I spent New Year's Day cross country skiing!
How idyllic. Please send a little heat here on the other side of the Earth. Ha, ha. Greetings! Peter
ReplyDeleteIt took some time, but your hot weather has now arrived here. I am so not going to click that link.
ReplyDeleteHot summer nights, yes, but it was -3c here when we got up this morning. I love the heat.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Sounds familiar to me, Januari 1 is such a "hangday", don't feel able to do something. We had lots of fireworks in the street which kept me out of sleep. Beeeeeh.
ReplyDeleteLovely sky! Warm weather sounds good to me right now. :))
ReplyDeleteDon't you just LOVE summer?? Although, I have been seeing that you guys west are having an extended heatwave though... Adelaide gets it today, and I think we will about next Tuesday!!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo!!
The spotlight of the sun upon the water is so inviting.
ReplyDeleteTell me more, tell me more, did you get very far ... I don't NEED to click the link!!! I've not often seen a sunset so pink - just stunning!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky! This photo makes me miss summer so much! Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for it to arrive...cough...cough...Please have a good Thursday.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! Looks like another great day at the beach.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, Grace. You actually look a bit like Miss Olivia. Keep cool.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice one, Grace.
ReplyDeleteWe were asleep long before midnight, as is our custom. It gets dark early here at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteFabulous sunset Grace. I must get out and take some sunset shots soon. 41 degrees forecast tomorrow and 36 on Friday night. Yikes! J.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset and Atholl brose, beautiful Grace.
ReplyDeletegreat view - happy new year
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular sky, a romantic moment of the day there, thanks for sharing this lovely picture!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Gorgeous light and colours! I love summer! :-)
ReplyDeleteTennis update....
ReplyDeleteI recorded the Hopman Cup highlights prog on NYD - 90 mins. Well the first 50mins were Qatar's tennis, must've overrun. Then we were straight into the action in Perth with Venus Williams and a french player. No sweeping vistas, just a small rectangle of sky thru the roof every now and then. Eventually the heavens opened and the roof closed. End of recording.
Thanks for your comments on my blog. I'll be back out taking when the rain stops.
Okay, Grace. You have an appointment at Medifast next Monday at 11:00 AM. Get a flight to Orlando and there is a shuttle bus which will take you right to Spanish Springs - it's about an hour's drive. Medifast is on the left-hand side of La Reina. You'll love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad to know you have a/c. I cannot imagine living in Florida without it!
P.S. Call me when you get here. We'll go to TooJay's for a bite to eat. :-)
I love that song but now I think I need to drown it out with something else before it gets stuck there. What a great beach shot.
ReplyDeleteLong hot summers nights?
ReplyDeleteI'm in tears here.......
Mind you, if you end up with pictures like that I may have some Athol Brose after all......
ReplyDeleteA beach, sunshine, friends. Life is complete.
