Round and round we go .....!
I love this shot, because the sign says it all. Aimee and I went down (or up depending on where you're coming from) to Fremantle with certain photographic targets in mind..believe me when I say that going up on the big wheel was definitely not one of them, but you know how it is..you start thinking 'come on how bad can it be'! First time round, hmmm ok!, after the third time it was a different story! Docked in the harbour below are the fishing boats that you usually see from this angle, and out on the horizon a yacht race in progress.....
..and even though this last shot is not the best.. fourth time around and I was starting to panic, in fact I was preparing my LET ME OUT face, which thankfully I didn't have to use (not pretty haha!) It's not often that I'm high enough to see both the red North Mole Lighthouse and the green South Mole lighthouse and I do believe way out there on the horizon is the Rottnest Island lighthouse (yes! a hat trick of lighthouses!) in the same shot! I'll show you where we had lunch tomorrow, such a cool place. Hope your week has started well, take care and stay safe.....

WOW....these are great Grace..... specially that first one......lovely composition.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
What a great way to get those lovely aerial shots. Great for you, I dare say, not me...ha ha! I love looking at them.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you have to push yourself a little. If you try this again it will probably be easier as you know that nothing bad really happened here.
ReplyDeleteyou are a braver woman than, gunga din
ReplyDeleteI love your first shot looking up at the wheel. :)
ReplyDeleteSeems you got some great views from up there. And it was a perfect day weather-wise too!
The first step is often the hardest one. But what great pictures you got as a reward!Bravo !
ReplyDeleteI need to confess I'm afraid to ride a ferris wheel :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful view, your pictures are great! You are very talented!
hugs
Léia
I'll be right over... What a view and that first shot is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images between each turn.
ReplyDeleteThat panic! No? Ja, Ja ... Ja.
A hug.
The water looks choppy. There must have been a decent breeze. The upskirt ferris wheel photo is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteExcellent views!
ReplyDeleteI can't recall the last time I've been on one of those...
I know that I am camera mad and will do anything for an interesting shot, but I couldn't do this! You have my greatest respect and the views are awesome but no thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow, that first shot is incredible!
ReplyDeleteThe second photo gets my vote a very spectacular view indeed.
ReplyDeleteThat first shpt is tremendous!
ReplyDeleteI do love the first shot... but feeling slightly queasy just thinking of going round and round in that!
ReplyDeleteYou are braver than me - I would not have ventured up there even for the great shots that you got, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSigh, those views! You caught amazing shots, especially love that first one (that shot alone would be worth any vertigo...almost:)
ReplyDeleteI love ferris wheels...too scared to drive UP to Freo though but will be catching the train one day soon to check out a raw cafe there and this is on our list to do on the day.
ReplyDeleteBarb.
Your eye feeds me almost as much as your cheery friendship!

Your first two images are excellent in different ways. My own days of riding in these things are OVER!
ReplyDeleteOn a clear you can see forever ... Great shots, Grace.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots from the top of the monster. You are a brave soul doing this just for us!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot just blew me away. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo with the 3 lighthouses. Very brave to have gone up Grace, I wouldn't set my feet on a ferris wheel ever!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a cure for vertigo if ever I saw one. I'm dizzy just looking at your photos Grace. The things we do for a great photo.
ReplyDeleteBravo to you for braving the ride for us! Love the perspective in the first shot. And, that's pretty cool to have three lighthouses in one shot. I don't think I can pull that off here. By the way, I'm up late because of the Australian Open. Had to watch Roger Federer live! : )
ReplyDeleteAaaah summer days....
ReplyDeleteBig thumbs up on that first shot, Grace! I love it too.
ReplyDelete"Vertigo..."
ReplyDeleteBest regards from Paris,
Pierre

ReplyDeleteExcellent shots. Particularly like the perspective in the first shot.
