This is the last and possibly my favourite of the pictures I took last Saturday from the lookout point at Henderson Cliffs, the sun was going down and glaring into my eyes, I could see the yachts away in the very far distance and basically pointed, clicked and hoped for the best. I had to zoom in to the max so the quality is a bit grainy, even so I was really happy when I downloaded to find I had actually managed to get the yachts in the frame (you might have to click and enlarge). I like the way their jewel coloured sails look against the glow of the sun going down and how the land behind the yachts looks almost like a mirage. Might make a good watercolour oui? Well the week is winding down once more and hopefully a happy weekend ahead, take care and stay safe.....

Sails on the water is one of the loveliest of sights. I can see why you like this!

ReplyDeleteWunderschöne Ansichten, nur leider ein bisschen weit weg von mir...

I love these!! The colorful sails on the water, beautiful, peaceful skies in the second shot! They took my breath away this morning! You did super good, Girl!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your week is going well!
Sylvia
That is utterly gorgeous! Even before I read your post, I thought: it looks just like a painting! Love those bright sails and the serene scene, aah!
ReplyDelete(Enjoyed your comment about the vintage shop, it's a fun place to spend a few too many hours! :)
I really like it too!
ReplyDeleteOh that sky is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous colors here! You're making a great series those days, each day you offer a new and wonderful view !
ReplyDeletei like your pictures:)
ReplyDeleteYou're right! This pic is special. The sun against the sails makes it something very special. They have a unique back lighting quality to them. Really cool! When I saw your post for Friday, I got a little excited until I realized it's still Thursday in the States here:) Bummer!
ReplyDeleteI've got a paint program that makes photos look like this. But you did it on your own! Delightful. It looks rather like a watercolour, or perhaps more like colored pencil. Whatever, I love the sailboats and the colors. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful and take me right into the mix of water and the crack of the sails. The backlighting gives the sails the appearance of colorful hard candies!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
That would look so good enlarged and framed - it has a painterly quality.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love that shot with all the sails!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your nautical series. Ditto to the above comments. And I liked your night shots yesterday too.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful blue ! Love the second picture. Thank you for the inspiration. Please have a good Friday.
ReplyDeleteI loved all the photos, the blues were so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat zooming worked very well.
ReplyDeleteI think it already looks like a painting. NOt sure how I found my black cat, probably on someone else's blog. If you click on the link below it you'll get to the text for the cat. On the left of that page is a stack of other stuff but the only other pet I could see was a fish.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the sail colors. Also the color of the whole photo is great too.
ReplyDeleteThis is incredible, Grace. It looks like a painting, not a photograph, or a heavily processed photograph. You are getting pretty good at this stuff, aren't you?
ReplyDeletenice colors on the horizon!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a wonderful series. Well done.
ReplyDeleteWonderful boat shots these two posts!
ReplyDeleteHave a fine Weekend
