I wonder how many outdoor events were cancelled this weekend because of the wet and stormy weather that never eventuated, WA covers a lot of ground so I'll give the bureau the benefit of the doubt and assume that there was some inclement weather somewhere in the state. Hmmm! Methinks I'm being too kind! I took these shots late yesterday afternoon from the lighthouse below at Hillary's Marina, it's a top spot to watch the boats, big and small come in from a day out at sea. The above shot was the last as the sun was sinking fast, I like this image because it looks like two separate pictures joined in the middle, it really isn't. I hope the fishermen coming home in that little boat had a successful catch and were coming home happy chaps!! Well here we are at the beginning of a new week, let's hope it's a good one.....

What breathtaking captures, Gracie!! The first one could be a painting! Amazing clouds and skies in all of them! Yeah, who knows about the weathermen and their forecasts????? Your surely did have a gorgeous day, regardless! Hope you have a great week with more good weather! It's still beautiful here and not too hot! That's why I love the northwest!!! When we do get good weather it's awesome!

ReplyDeleteA pathway of sea-diamonds right to your.feet .... Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI could float away into these beautiful blues - so amazing! I especially love the top (really does look like a 2 in 1 photo) and 3rd photos, but they're all wonderful. Happy new week!
ReplyDeleteWatching boats, big and small, is a pastime I enjoy very much. And I'd probably enjoy it even more at Hillary's Marina.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset capture
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is so crisp I feel like I could reach out and touch it.

You really do have two different worlds going here. Hope your camera's light sensor is okay - that king of shot is a bit risky for the hardware.
ReplyDeleteO what glorious views of light and sea! Very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe top photo looks almost too perfect to be real...lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Grace.
ReplyDeleteI wish our summer could look as good as you winter!
ReplyDeleteOoops... 'your' winter...
ReplyDeleteLove the top shot. You have really caught a lot of depth in the photo. It's not a flat image as sunset shots often are. I think it's the clouds and the way the get smaller and smaller towards the horizon.
ReplyDeleteSo many events cancelled over here this weekend due to rain... and it's supposed to be summer :-(
ReplyDeleteLove the top photo!
oh, grace, that top shot is nothing short of miraculous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots....love the first image.
ReplyDeleteYou have presented us with a feast for the eyes, and it's a wonderful way to start a new week! The first photo is special. Frame it and hang it!
ReplyDeleteThat first one's a keeper for sure. That boat placed perfectly.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! It's a no win situation, cancel or not, they'll always be someone to criticize them. We had a similar situation last week in Boston during the July 4th concert with 300,000 plus people. Thunder storms were expected, officials stopped the concert and moved people into highway tunnels for safety. The thunder storms passed by and of course there was criticism of officials, because there was no lightning.
ReplyDeletewhat magnificent skies
ReplyDeleteYou certainly caught the light at the perfect time in that first picture! Fabulous shots.
ReplyDeleteI wanna be there!
ReplyDeleteWinter indeed!
Glorious captures!!
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous images Grace. Love the top shot. Superb. Glad that the weather has settled down at least for a while.
ReplyDeleteLove that top shot!
ReplyDeleteLovely detail in those clouds, Grace. Great work! Send some of that sunshine over here please!
