into another dimension.... that's what my overactive imagination thought of when I downloaded this shot, an image to trick the eyes! Standing at the Beaufort St. entrance leading into the Perth Cultural Centre is a mirrored sculpture, I wish I could tell you more about it but mysteriously there's no information to be found..at least not on this side. perhaps next time I should step through.. Happy fanciful Sunday.....!!
If you don't know where you are going,
Any road will take you there.....

Esoteric is what I would call that quote but I don't really know what the word means. I mean the quote on the mirrored sculpture. What is the building with strong rainbow colours? Are we in Northbridge?
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific, fascinating capture! Another dimension indeed! And I love the quote! Hope you've had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture. We love the reflection and the quote is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Perfect! I would love to have a couple of photos to do this with... one old and one new and combine the past with the present. Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteDas ist ja mal witzig, sehr gelungen...
ReplyDeleteLieben Gruß

It does require some explaining. I checked the author of the quote - Pigram Brothers - and they're a folk/rock band, but that didn't help me any either with the mirrored piece.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many birds fly into that mirror?
ReplyDeleteThis is bloody excellent! Excuse my french.
ReplyDeleteReally fabulous! The kind of thing I adore!
ReplyDeleteBUT: Do you think some people don't see it and walk into it?!
What a cool shot! Knowing me, I'd walk right into that thing:) Interesting art added to landscape. That flag in the background is pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI love it! That's your reflection? And the whole art thing is wonderful. You have so many excellent cultural places & activities. I'm jealous. I'd ask the same question as previous commenters about walking right into this mirrored sculpture. I'm quite capable of walking into our sliding glass doors at times!
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is going well.
Not seen any sculpture quite like this before, its really quite neat.
ReplyDeleteWonderful image. Yes, life certainly holds many a way present. Please have a good Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWell that's a surprise. It wasn't until my second inspection that I figured out what was going on. Good shot Grace. Well chosen verse to match.
ReplyDeleteGood one.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot! I really had to study it - what a find! This is truly an interesting piece - it would be great to know more about it!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of those space-time portals in Time Bandits. Enter it in Perth in 2012 and exit . . .where?
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful! Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWell, I love reflection photos and this one is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is just fantastic. It really does look like you could step into another dimension.
ReplyDeleteIf I saw that young woman there I would probably walk into the thing!
ReplyDeleteVery clever!This image is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLéia
It is a very funny photo, you see so much images!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of carnival mirrors that distort our bodies. LOVE your take here.
ReplyDeletevery, very good, grace. what a journey you will have if you step through.
ReplyDeleteAmazing mirror game! Arianna
ReplyDeleteThat's quite surreal - and you looking so smart too, even if a little distorted.
ReplyDeleteExiting times. Stepping into another dimension...
ReplyDeleteI did a double take. Very cool shot. You and Joe are groovin' together this week! :)
