Through the looking glass.....

into another dimension.... that's what my overactive imagination thought of when I downloaded this shot, an image to trick the eyes! Standing at the Beaufort St. entrance leading into the Perth Cultural Centre is a mirrored sculpture, I wish I could tell you more about it but mysteriously there's no information to be found..at least not on this side. perhaps next time I should step through.. Happy fanciful Sunday.....!!

Any road will take you there.....

  1. Esoteric is what I would call that quote but I don't really know what the word means. I mean the quote on the mirrored sculpture. What is the building with strong rainbow colours? Are we in Northbridge?

  4. Perfect! I would love to have a couple of photos to do this with... one old and one new and combine the past with the present. Very nicely done!

  6. It does require some explaining. I checked the author of the quote - Pigram Brothers - and they're a folk/rock band, but that didn't help me any either with the mirrored piece.

  9. Really fabulous! The kind of thing I adore!
BUT: Do you think some people don't see it and walk into it?!

  10. What a cool shot! Knowing me, I'd walk right into that thing:) Interesting art added to landscape. That flag in the background is pretty:)

  11. I love it! That's your reflection? And the whole art thing is wonderful. You have so many excellent cultural places & activities. I'm jealous. I'd ask the same question as previous commenters about walking right into this mirrored sculpture. I'm quite capable of walking into our sliding glass doors at times!

Hope your weekend is going well.

  14. Well that's a surprise. It wasn't until my second inspection that I figured out what was going on. Good shot Grace. Well chosen verse to match.

  16. Reminds me of those space-time portals in Time Bandits. Enter it in Perth in 2012 and exit . . .where?
