J'adore Audrey Hepburn (who doesn't oui!) I was very lucky yesterday to receive a beautiful bunch of roses from a special friend, they looked so wonderful beside my AH print that I felt compelled to take a shot of them and share. Then of course (being a Libra) I couldn't decide between colour, B&W or a wee bit of a fiddle, so what do you think, with the last image I added a little boost and a touch of posterising, looks quite good when enlarged! I hope the skies are blue wherever you are this weekend, be that figuratively or literally, bon weekend.....
I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most,
to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills.
It's probably the most important thing in a person.
Audrey Hepburn.....
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing and I hope your weekend is good too.
ReplyDeleteGreat artist and this is also lovely Gracie.
ReplyDeletewarm greetings and a nice weekend, Joop
These are really lovely, Gracie! You are clever with the camera! I was always a big fan of Audrey Hepburn, too. Quite an incredible woman she was! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEine große Künstlerin, sehr schön in Szene gesetzt...
ReplyDeleteLieben Gruß

I prefer the colord picture; Audrey Hepburn was such a fantastic Lady!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved her too! I'd go for the colour.
ReplyDeleteTres cool, all 3 of zem, mais oui!
ReplyDeleteThey are all great but my favorite is the first one...with all the beautiful colors in the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast of the color against the black and white. Beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteIf you want a good chuckle...I suggest having a look at my blog today (at the risk of sounding overly solicitous)
Très bien, magnificent contrast! Love the top one!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others, the fist with color against the very striking line drawing would be my pick. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteQue c'est joli !
ReplyDeleteStill pouring with rain...
the colour version and the b/w are wonderful.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good weekend ahead.
Beautiful shots! I like the top one the best. I'm not sure why because I really do like them all. Your roses are beautiful. I love the combination of colors.

ReplyDeleteI love them all! (And Audrey Hepburn too). I adore the first one, but could see all three framed as a triptych of large prints, side by side, adorning some beautiful room. :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one, fore sure. Elegance in the foreground and background.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast at Tiffany's is my favorite movie. I like the color version most.
ReplyDeleteI do that as well:) My two cents? The last two shots are beautiful. The black and white works well here. Oh Audrey....
ReplyDeleteVery nice for you to have a special friend who sends roses!! And I'm a purist, picture #1 is great!
ReplyDeleteI like the last shot though poor old Aud seems to be putting on a bit of weight. Roses are always a good idea too.
ReplyDeleteShe's remains the epitome of elegance.
ReplyDeleteShe was such a nice person, I like all the pictures, can't make a choice.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Audrey!...
Have a great weekend!
xoxo, Juliana

I prefer the first one. Have a great sunday!
ReplyDeleteSome nice fiddling here.
ReplyDeleteAudrey is always a good idea as well!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
I'll try to make you chuckle in the coming week.
ReplyDeleteI love her too. Wonderful shots, Grace.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot in color or b/w. That's a very special friend.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
She definitely had that "Je ne sais quois"
ReplyDeleteIt's not often I'd choose b&w over color but in this case, I think the b&w works best.
ReplyDeleteThose of us who grew up with Audrey Hepburn sense that there are a number of things lacking among many of our youthful actresses today - like charisma, a sense of style, elegance and taste!
Definitelythe B & W. lt goes perfectly with that little black dress she woreto such stunning effect.
ReplyDeleteI love both! Beautaiful photos Grace. BTW my little brother just landed in Sydney yesterday. I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful bright bunch of flowers to receive Grace and all the images look fabulous. Not sure that I could choose between them. Enjoy a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI think you, with an assist from your friend, have succeeded in making Audrey Hepburn more glamorous.
ReplyDeleteIn an article I read this morning, I learned her name originally was Edda Van Heemstra. As a young Jewish girl in Holland during WWII, she determined a way to fight the Nazis. She was a ballerina and danced to raise money for the Dutch resistance. I'm not sure how she got to the U.S., but she certainly did well as Audrey Hepburn, winning an Oscar, a Grammy, a Tony and an Emmy!
