City Daily Photo February Theme.. Smiles.

Well it had to happen! After 10 months of no community Covid spread we have had one case. One man on the loose roaming around has tested positive and as from last night at 6pm Perth has gone into lock-down for five days. I'm not sure what feels more surreal, the fact that life has been as normal for so long or the fact that we are now in lock-down after so long. Thank goodness I was out and about last week and over the weekend taking all sorts of photos to keep me going this week. We are right in the middle of Fringe World 2021 so I'm guessing the lovely ladies here, so happy to pose, will have to hold onto those smiles for a week. For the first time ever we will have to wear masks when outside this week, will have to get some shots of that! Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

  2. Great set of smiles! It makes you wonder how this awful virus made its way to your community. Your part of the world was doing so well keeping it at bay. I hope they are doing some contact tracing to see how the guy got infected.

  4. They are beautiful ladies!
We've been in total lockdown and curfew since mid-December ... and ain't yet a light at the end of the tunnel!
    Stay safe Grace!

  5. Lovely smiles and great contribution to our theme. Sorry to hear about the community spread. To me, just one case seems surreal. Bravo for the quick reaction and lock-down.

  6. Gosh! Remember smiles? My superpower now in abeyance. Glad you are doing well. Yes, we hope to get to normal, but I'll take our new president gratefully and not ask for more right now, G!

  7. These girls are fabulous! But one case, wow, it's been horrible around here and we're all still wearing our masks and practicing social distancing and the cases are still rising. It's like our new way of life. Again on and outing yesterday, we discussed the same old topic, is this (especially mask wearing) the new way of the world? When will this ever end?

  8. Dearest Grace,
Such a lock–down is pure dictatorship and for what? In my birth country they too have such a lock–down and curfew, exactly like during WWII...
Those ladies have strong thighs and beautiful teeth!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  12. I saw it o the news tonight that you were in lockdown. I hope it hasn't spread too far and that you get back to 'normal' soon, Grace. We are still locked down for at least a few more weeks.

  13. The ladies look great!

I hope there is only one case as has been discovered. Good luck with the lockdown.

I thought of you when I saw the news about the case in Perth.

  14. Glad for the smiles, Grace. This is... unbelievable. As if Marty had known.
He is posing for you today, a little smaller as you sent him. And now you are in lockdown, too, how sad is that. No idea if I wanna see more masks.

  16. They all look very happy, I hope they had a great time. We heard about the lockdown from my step daughter who lives in Lockridge, not good.

  18. Just one case of Covid? That would be a good reason to smile around here! Some people have started to draw smiles on their masks. It all helps.

  19. We all have to dig into our archives now but that can sometimes put a new smile on our faces.
