Oh my gosh how about that funky wallpaper :) Always enjoy stepping back into the 50/60/70's in the Mid Century Cafe. Orange and lime green really were the colous of the day, not to mention flying ducks on the wall and hands up who had a fondue set 😉 I've heard they are making a come-back, is yours sitting tucked away in the back of a cupboard, now is the time to get it out, happy dipping :) Hope you have the best weekend that you can, take care and stay safe..

...I remember these colors well!
ReplyDeleteI would imagine the food is rather better than what was served in the 50s and 60s, on those wonderful Formica tables with ketchup bottles shaped like tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteGreat colour combination and all those super colourful kitchen knick-knacks. My first kitchen had a lot of orange :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely day Grace, enjoy the weekend.
I love the look of that place, Grace! I have a small lime green wall that I love!
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteOh, had my green kitchen walls in the early 1970s but never too much of the multicolored walls.
Great photo!
Hugs,
Mariette
And That Frame - So Cool - Nice Little Find There - Enjoy The Weekend
ReplyDeleteCheers
Great image Grace!
ReplyDeleteNice shot and would have been perfect, I see you relbow ;))
ReplyDeleteFantastic framing, Grace!
ReplyDeleteVery retro!
ReplyDeleteVery 1970s it is.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh. Fondue set. Yes, we had one, bright orange and with the burner of course. Long gone.
ReplyDeleteColorful and a great reflection in your photo, but I am not so sure about the 1950s. I lived through that decade and I can tell you it wasn't all good.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute place that is. And, yes I had a fondu set but it's long gone to a thrift store. That mixer on the shelf looks like one my mom had and is that and orange juice pitcher and glasses I see. I'm pretty sure my grandmother had a set like that. How fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that frame ... and of course all the beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteLa photo de ta bannière est magnifique, je me demande quand on va retrouver cette liberté et joie de vivre. Je te souhaite le meilleur Grace :)
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection.
ReplyDeleteWe used the fondue set last Christmas! I suddenly wanted to have that feeling again. I loved the sixties...
ReplyDeleteUm lugar agradável.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Well, wouldn’t you know it, I finally donated mine..in a feverish pitch and toss session!
ReplyDeleteWhat a time warp that room is. Fun!
Been there. Lived that. LOL. I had pop art wallpaper with optical illusions!
ReplyDeleteHi Grace, I saw your comment on my Cosanti post. The link is to all the posts for Cosanti so the current one will be first. You just have to keep scrolling to see the others.
ReplyDeleteWe have continued to use our chocolate fondu. It continues to delight the family.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, and those fondue pots are making a big comeback here, as well as those colors! What once worked applies again it seems.
ReplyDeletecool,i remember this coulor scheme in a set of plastic dishes and glasses from my childhood!:) ew
ReplyDeleteOK, Grace. On my list. Can you imagine I have relatives in Switzerland and never had a fondue??? And I´m a total cheese lover, too (unlike Ingo).
ReplyDeleteRaclette, I had, my Brother had real Fondue (with cherry-schnapps). We had the meat variant. Ugh! Hot fat over real fire. My nightmare, every new year´s.
Dad had a bad time due to me whining around. LOL. He had to do the job for me, too. Later my Bro.
But cheese, I´d LOVE!
