The last time I took photos inside Hackett Hall was back in 2015 just before WA Museum Boola Bardip closed for renovations in 2016 and if you read my original post here I mentioned that until 1996 the ceilings below (more detailed shots on the link to my first post) were boarded from the beams up hiding this glorious ceiling.. imagine that! Now Hackett Hall, a function space, is home to Otto the 24m long blue whale and lots of other fascinating information. The books and papers that lined the shelves previously are now stored in the State Library. The ceiling and the beautiful wrought iron staircases leading up to the different levels are still my favourite features.. sorry Otto :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

That is a magnificent ceiling, and I am glad Otto has found a good home. Would love to wander around in this museum.
