On a rainy day visit to the recently re-opened Art Gallery WA last week I was looking forward to seeing the work of Year 12 students from schools across WA. This year's Pulse Perspectives 2019 exhibition was as creative and diverse as always. The above work by Charlotte Olsen 'see with your hands and feel with your eyes' had me wanting to reach out and touch.. I resisted :) All of the art by these talented young visual art graduates was amazing and absolutely relevant to the time we are presently living. I feel the work below could be relating to the world's existence depending on us working together as a whole and the next work how this may not be possible as 'more young people disconnect as a result of digital toxicity'. I am ever fascinated to know how young people see their future in this uncertain world.. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. I would love it if you would read the artists words 💙
Very nice art. Now for the do not; it will encourage the curious to do all 3.
ReplyDeleteGood that you got to enjoy this gallery show. Talented artists.
ReplyDeleteThe last piece will not please the artist's brother! All three pieces a re good ones, Grace!
ReplyDelete...'strung together' is spot on at this moment!
ReplyDeleteOh I love these arts Grace! The first one reminded me of a sculpture in Olympic Park in Seattle with a sign "Please dont Touch" and i saw lots of handprints on them HAHAHA The last two are very beautiful! Shows that different cultures are treasures of every nation :)
ReplyDeleteA nice exhibit and such talanted artists.
ReplyDeleteI think the world may be in good hands!
ReplyDeleteMs Nguyen rather got stuck into her brother. Perhaps if he is as his sister describes, he will never bother looking at her art.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't share this with just everyone but one does want to taste the artwork on occasion!
ReplyDeleteThe young are pretty active now for a better future or lease trying
ReplyDeleteHmmm, Grace, one does want to lick! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt´s good to see there are still young people who go for good ole values and also see the wrongness of being glued to all the devices non-stop. Sadly the minority...
Great to see talent in our youth. Also pleased to see they don’t condone licking the artwork.
ReplyDeleteHa. Good one.
ReplyDeleteNice work and I am always in to see new work from beginning artists to see the way art will go.
ReplyDeleteI have neve had the intention to lick a piece of art!

ReplyDeleteCheers
Nice exhibition Grace. I wouldn't think of licking the art works, ever, lol
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so jealous that you got to go the art museum. It's so difficult not being able to get out and about. Very interesting art by talented young people.
ReplyDeleteThe first is odd.
ReplyDeleteOur national museums here are talking about opening in July or early August.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice pictures of these spoecial artworks. The last two are very nice to see.
Greetings, Marco
I saw an article today about art restorers using saliva to clean the artworks .... so I guess a lot of famous paintings could have been "licked" over the years.
