I'm sure this will be familiar to many of you. I found 'Super Nurse' on a wall in South Fremantle last week. It was created by Amsterdam based stencil/street artist Fake to 'raise awareness and as a thank you to all professional healthcare workers around the world working on the front line who risk their lives so that the rest of us can be safe, to encourage them in these challenging times, to lift their spirits and send them love and appreciation.' You have no doubt seen this stencil art somewhere in your city, it is appearing all over the world, interesting short video here (in Dutch with subtitles) of the artist explaining the piece and his surprise that it became so famous💙 Happy Monday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. interestingly many of the posters around the world, as this one, have graffiti on them..
I only wish that those working on the front line in our hospitals could be granted some superpowers; unfortunately they are just as vulnerable to viruses as the rest of us. Maybe one day we'll pay them what they're worth.
ReplyDelete...my DIL is a super nurse!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this one before but it is super, Grace!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great mural and it was interesting to watch his video. I haven't seen one here yet but I'll keep my eyes peeled.
ReplyDeleteYou found a fine mural honoring a worthy profession who are on the front lines of this pandemic. Over 600 front line medical professionals has lost their lives fighting the Coronavirus in the U.S. alone.
ReplyDeleteIn the empty lane it makes a statement of our times! So nice walking with you anywhere, G
ReplyDeleteSuper mural for the heroes on the frontlines.
ReplyDeleteI love the Super Nurse!
ReplyDeleteI definitely met some of those SuperNurses last week when I had to visit the hospital. Marvellous people who deserve or respect and our thanks.
ReplyDeleteSuper mural. I think I know where that street is. I agree with everything John said.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it, but what a great mural that is m.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mural. We often forget (but no longer) how much nurses and other medical people do for all of us.
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteWhile not especially here, so many doctors and nurses around the world have died from COVID. What a sacrifice they made while caring for people and shame on any government that did not supply them with protective equipment.
ReplyDeleteSo much respect for nurses!
ReplyDeleteAll of them are.
ReplyDeleteGreat mural work.
ReplyDeleteSalute to all corona warriors.
Only wish more people would wear mask
ReplyDeleteTimely and beautifully made. They really ARE super heroes. All these doctors, nurses, and staff have worked beyond their capacity and still find a way to come back and do it again another day. This is a fabulous find, Grace. It's a shame my country's leader doesn't seem to share the same opinion.
ReplyDeleteGreat image.
ReplyDeleteGreat one, Grace, have not seen one here.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen this supernurse (and I'm in the Netherlands!)but it's super(b)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
I know that the maker is dutch but I haven't seen it here but they deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThat is fun to hear dutch speaking on your blog! S.C mentioned not have seen it here, but we haven't been in Amsterdam for ages since the Corona outbreak two months ago!
ReplyDeleteNice find Grace and great tribute. I wonder about the graffiti. Thanks for participating.
ReplyDeleteStarted painting the chest of drawers today ...
Love it! Maybe after this pandemic people will realize who should make the big bucks. NOT those CEOs who do nothing to earn their obscene salaries.
ReplyDeleteSo Powerful
ReplyDeleteThey are all doing such a great job. Cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteA great mural.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
