Spotted this fab mural as we were leaving Fremantle last week. Painted most appropriately on the wall of a fish and chip shop on South Terrace back in 2018 by renowned Perth multi-disciplinary artist Destroy. The octopus tentacles spill off the wall and onto the lane so that when you take the shot from the sweet spot, preferably with a wide angle lens, the art takes on a 3D effect. I'm not sure if I caught that so well above but check this pic.. super cool right! Hope you had/are still having a good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
This beauty literally 'jumps out' of the mural! It's very interesting to see those helmets both on the octopus and the hermit crab! That manta Ray looks super sleek though! Happy New Week dear Grace!

ReplyDeleteWow, that is supercool indeed, Grace!
ReplyDeleteEven though the helmet freaks me out, can you imagine putting this on and go under water?! Makes me snap for air already ;-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful one, I never see something loie this here...
ReplyDeleteHello Grace,
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic. So nice how someone could make this so well.
A great thing to photograph and of course you have done this very well.

That is a super aquatic mural Grace.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing, I really love it and the spilling over into the pavement is a great idea. Hope all is well down under. Keep well, stay safe and enjoy the week. Diane
ReplyDeleteThis is a very clever and impressive mural. And, it's perfect for this location.
ReplyDeleteFabulous mural of the sea !
ReplyDeleteI seem to be late to the party. This is a fabulous mural. I like how it becomes nearly 3-D. I'm not on FB, so it wouldn't allow me to see the photo you shared, but your photos are good enough that I get a great sense of the entire scene. It's beautiful and so are your photos.
ReplyDeleteIt is cool but it also gives me the creeps. I would not want to encounter that sea creature in real life.
