Mmmmm... lunch!

Was a little disappointed yesterday, we were promised forecast a wet and windy day but as you can see it was not to be, perhaps today.. it is winter after all. I love taking shots of our beautifully exotic black swans, here on the Swan River in Matilda Bay. I enjoyed the sequence of shots with the swan peering into the water, plunging his head in and triumphantly emerging with a tidbit of the greenish kind :) Hope you have a super weekend, take extra care and stay safe..

  4. I've never seen a black swan in the USA although I think there may be a few in Florida that someone released.

  5. Woooooow a very beautiful black Swan! I remember a post from blog friend Anita from Norway, she showed a photo of a Wild Black Swan which is not native to them in Norway and everyone was wondering how it get there, knowing most black swans are from down under! Happy Weekend dearest Grace!

  7. While they are found in many parts of Australia, they are so associated with Perth and West Australia.

  8. They have those perfect long necks to be able to dip deep into the water.

  10. The black swans are so beautiful, we only have white ones here. I wonder how the black colour evolved, what is the advantage over white? Hmmmm... interesting.
