The Old Observatory..

Built in 1896, the Old Observatory, sitting at the top of Mount Eliza, excellent spot for an observatory, in West Perth is now appropriately the headquarters of the National Trust. I see that they do tours around this lovely old building on certain days, not unfortunately the day I took these, I will go back! Check out the site here for the new Perth Observatory 25km east of Perth in Bickley, also heritage listed, definitely worth a visit don't you agree! We're having a few much needed cooler days here in Perth, back up to 39C on Friday.. I'm ready for them :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
Visit Tom to see more Tuesday Treasures..

  4. This is one of those treasures that we must take care of and preserve for future generations. We have one building similar here and I started to stop and photography it yesterday, but wanted to get home. I will go back just as you will. Happy day.

  9. Great building. Look at the size of the eaves; very important in a hot area. It's a very Australian building.

  29. It looks more like a posh restaurant or small hotel. But I don't see a place for a telescope.
