Yesterday's post was all about colourful explosions of the man made kind.. today it's a vibrant burst of mother nature's glory! If it hadn't been for the splendiferous mass of summer lovin' Bougainvillea hanging over the red brick wall this old lane-way sprinkled with graffiti in Mount Lawley would have looked a wee bit sad on a hot, humid day. Several bougainvillea and hibiscus in my garden never disappoint in the colour they reward me with at this time of the year. Happy Friday, take care and stay safe...
Oh I love this, G!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe,quelle couleur ! ;o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a flourish of colour!
ReplyDeleteNice shots !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Love these plants. In south Florida they are ubiquitous. We had some at our first house in Ocala, but they finally froze one winter and were no more. It gets just a tad too cold to ensure their ongoing survival in central Florida.
ReplyDeleteAh, gorgeous captures indeed and I do love the colorful Bougainvillea!! How wonderful to be surrounded by so much beauty!! Thanks for sharing, Grace, as always!! I hope you have a beautiful weekend!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI love when you post summer flower blooms this time of year. I can feel the warmth.
ReplyDeleteI'm boiling hot all of a sudden! Reminds me of the south of Spain! Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful. There are so many in California but not any that I have seen here in Coventry.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled to see this on a grey windy day here, Grace! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing shrubs like this just tumbling over a wall. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Can be a little shocking for those of us still in the throes of winter, Grace. :-)
ReplyDeleteGrace, I do not know why the computer-gods punish me. I have such a hard time posting on your blog. After I type my comments, the computer screen freezes. Only on your site!!
ReplyDeleteTrying again! I love these blossoms which are profuse all over Mazatlán and I miss then when I am gone!
ReplyDeleteBougainvillea...love it, smashing pictures Grace and the way it is tumbling over that lovely brick wall is just perfect..
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Grace! I have to say that I definitely don't mind waiting a while longer for hot and humid right now.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteA laneway just waiting to be photographed - so very pretty
ReplyDeleteWith the strong wind today the ground will be littered with colour! BTW are you going to the opening of "Betty's Jetty"?
ReplyDeleteVery flashy looking, Grace. They look especially fine against that formal brick wall. In Florida we see bougainvillea all the time against stucco walls. It is not the same.
ReplyDeleteA brilliant, burst of colour to start the weekend Grace. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy parents small holding in Rhodesia was a mass of colours when the bougainvillea were in flower, bit cold for them here and I do miss the. Have a good weekend Diane

ReplyDeleteStunning colors, truly, Grace. Mother nature really is good at this :-)
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous, Grace, such brilliant colours !
ReplyDeletelove them
ReplyDeleteI love bougainvillea, but I'm never sure how to pronounce it. Fortunately, it doesn't grow in our part of the world so I'm spared the embarrassment...
ReplyDeleteLes bougainvilliers sont magnifique, chez toi c'est le printemps et nous, nous avons froid :)
ReplyDeleteMagnificent rose follage and summer delight is the best.
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful flowers !!
ReplyDeleteBeyond gorgeous! I love bougainvillea.
ReplyDeleteSplendid flowering colours. Love the cascade over the wall. The wall looks quite handsome.
ReplyDeleteLOVE those bright flowers amongst the white blossoms!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous and remind me of our yard in Florida. We had hedges of bougainvillea. It is such a beautiful plant and the blooms are out of this world.
