I'm not much of a pub patron but when in the city on a scorching hot day a long ice-cold shandy goes down a treat and where better to partake than traditional British style pub the Moon and Sixpence on Murray St., if you're somewhere quiet when you click the link turn the audio off, it's loud! With temperatures for the next three days 36C,39C,38C I foretell much partaking of ale.. not by moi, don't like the taste :) Cheers! Salut! Santé! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
Salud my dear!
ReplyDeleteThose are hot days for sure Grace! That looks like just the place for a cool one. Menu looks KK for pub grub too, albeit a bit on the pricey side!
ReplyDeleteWow, it really is crowded there! I think I would go for an ice-tea though :)
ReplyDeleteThe place does look crowded!
ReplyDeletehere with the weather , we dring cofee
ReplyDeleteThat "Today's Special" reminds me of the one that goes "Free Beer Tomorrow". I'm with you, I'm not a fan of beer. I'll have an iced tea instead.
ReplyDeleteI'd be ready for a nice cold pint in those temps, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHey, wish I could send you some of our chill, WET weather if you'll send me some sun!!!! Have a great week, Grace, regardless/in spite of the weather!!
ReplyDeleteIf you force me I will join you.
ReplyDeleteThe beer here is watered down just now...
Ah... er... shandy would be better since I dislike beer... :-)
ReplyDeletewell that sure drew them in!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's pretty hot here too. Today it was 12°C. Ha!
ReplyDeleteIwas going to say that the facade of the pub suggests a quite atmospheric place, but all those people crowded outside would smudge the atmosphere for me. Incredible amount of people choosing to just stand around. Our peninsula has had a couple of hot days, but right now it is light jacket weather under grey skies. But it all could change in a blink as often happens in Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteIn was just thinking that I need to put some socks on. My ankles are freezing...then I pull this up. Me oh my I need some of that warmth!
ReplyDeleteWe are in the opposite worlds. We buy two beers for the price of one and we hit -24C for our low. Enjoy the atmosphere and keep shooting those photos.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Good grief! And here I am putting on every piece of warm clothing I own. :-)
ReplyDeleteI must remember this bargain beer special when I visit Perth. No wonder it is so busy.
ReplyDeleteI might take that offer but only very late in the evening.
ReplyDeleteGreat name! I'de think you were more of a white wine girl or G & T with a twist & ice.
ReplyDeleteI'll take two!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like a popular place.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, but a cold beer on a hot day sounds pretty darn good to me.
ReplyDeleteBoy oh Boy that is hot. Hope you have a way of keeping cool. The pub sure looks popular.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a busy spot Grace, a lot of pubs over here would like to be that busy...
ReplyDeleteA cold beer for free that will always attract a lot of people I think!
ReplyDeleteIn my younger days I would have loved this, but over the years I have totally lost my taste for beer. Looks to be busy.
ReplyDeleteMy wife would love those temperatures. Me, I'll go for the beers.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very popular place indeed!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of beer, but I do love pub grub!
ReplyDeleteDo I have to feel bad having recognised it at first glance, Grace? :-)
ReplyDeleteYummo.
We had 2 days of 33 degrees here in Launceston last week & that was too hot so I'm glad I'm not in Perth at the moment. We lived in Brisbane for 6 years & came back home to Tassie 10 years ago. Just got sick of the constant heat.
ReplyDeleteWell, looks like their marketing has proved to be very successful!
ReplyDeleteA very crowded place !
ReplyDeleteNo wonder, with these temperatures !
Heat and beer? Works for lots of people.
