Lost horizons and arty endeavours..

Most of you who follow my blog know I like art, all types of art.. a lot! You could say I'm a frustrated artist :) Every now and then I do get a canvas out and throw paint at it with gay abandon, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'll show you one day..you can critique! Leanne Pearson one of Perth's most talented artists uses soft colour and exquisite light in her paintings, here I've had a little fun 'pastel-ling' up two nautical images taken recently. I didn't do too much to the top shot, the misty horizon was naturally blurred, below a few colour washes. Can you tell I didn't get out with my camera yesterday :) Surely it can't be Wednesday already! Take care and stay safe...

  6. Very effective treatment of both photos. You don't have to use paint to qualify as an artist!

  7. It is sometimes interesting to see what tweaking a photo a little here and/or there will yield.

  13. I like the effect and sometimes use tricks like this myself. Nice summer ocean mist. We have ice in the Mississippi by now.
