Often the trees are the only way to tell that it actually is winter in Perth.. the plane trees and buildings along Hay St. reflected in the glass facade of the Central Park building. Can you see the nest high up on the right, the advert in 'nests to lease' would read something like this.. 'built to withstand high winds, spacious, prime location offering expansive city views, reservations essential'. It seems to be occupied all year round and I did catch sight of tail feathers but pffft no long lens.. how did that happen :) Have a great weekend, be prepared! Take care and stay safe...

Splendid reflection, Grace.
ReplyDeleteSplendid it is indeed!! And I love the nest!! It is a big one!! Hope you have a great weekend!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSuper reflection, Grace! Plane trees are one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a hi-rise with a view!
ReplyDeletewonderful shot! it's so funny to think it's mid-winter down under. My husband & I are on the coast of Maine, high summer, and it's beautiful. The thing I mmiss most in winter is what I have right now. He's finishing a week of photography classes with Jay Maisel, now 83 yrs old & still a dynamo. My husband has enjoyed every second of class time & I've enjoyed every second of solitude.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a wonderful reflection.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection and I see the large nest. :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like these reflection shots....
ReplyDeleteIt's huge! The nest I mean!
ReplyDeleteFor a split second I thought you were showing Sloane Square. Silly me! Love this!
Now that looks like winter, some of your photos don't really show it, must be those type of trees.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best nests in town.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice composition, dear... The light is so magnificent, on this picture.
ReplyDeleteI noticed how you didn't mention anything about the lack of privacy. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Grace.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Grace. That looks like a big nest, for big birds.
ReplyDelete(The balloon pair were not my models . . . they were with a professional photographer who was posing them, so I quietly followed them until he had them stationed in front of Trinity Church, when I lifted my camera and took 5 or 6 fast photos.)
Love that first shot!!! And the nest advert!!! Sounds about right to me!!!
ReplyDeleteWith that ad I´d like to lease, Grace ;-)
ReplyDeleteI dread that sight of plane trees over here. Gah, cold!
geweldig mooi gezien .
ReplyDeleteThat is always nice to see in winter where the birds had their homes in the trees.
ReplyDeleteIntriguing image, well done, Grace!
ReplyDeleteAnd privacy from the paparazzi! Great shots. Hope you are having a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful photo of winter in Perth, Grace. Nothing like north of Toronto!
ReplyDeleteMy yard will look like this soon. I can wait awhile though.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and fantastic reflection!
ReplyDeleteNo snow in a winter? :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflection.
Hugs
