This wine is too good for toast-drinking my dear. You don't want to mix emotion up with a wine like that. You lose the taste... Ernest Hemingway
There has to be a story here! He looks as if he has the weight of the world on his shoulders as he clutches a bottle of Penfolds 1966 a rare and tasty drop, perhaps that's the story, he's just spent his last $1000 on a bottle of wine :) Hope you had or are still having a good weekend, happy Monday, take care...p.s. it has been suggested in comments that this could be one of Perth's 'infamous' politicians :) and Angie passed on a link here.. LOL!
Doesn't look much like Hemingway. If interested in him, read a fictional novel, Mrs Hemingway.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like mister Big Feet to me and has had toomuch looked in the bottle....
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Big Feet. Look who's coming. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting capture, Grace!! You can put a lot of stories together with that one! Enjoy your new week!!
ReplyDeleteNice catch, Grace!
ReplyDeleteIf I'd just spent $1000 for a bottle of wine, I'd look just like him. I'd be asking myself, "How could you do anything that stupid?"
ReplyDeleteI think he's got a hangover!
ReplyDeleteGreat one! I especially like your last shot that includes the lady walking by. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your final pic today, G

Love the mural. If I spent $1000.00 for a bottle of wine, I'd be dealing with a headache too.
ReplyDeleteA very cool post, Grace. I wouldn't know one wine from another and I like most all of 'em whether they're 1966 or 2006 or 2014! :) That 2nd shot is perfect!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think he is that minister (What's his name?) who recently crashed his car after too many drinks and ended up discraced...Buswell? Looks a bit like him. :-)
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I was 16 that year and at the depths of adolescent misery. Many years later I scored a few bottles of Grange Hermitage at an affordable price. It was heaven.
ReplyDelete$1000 for a bottle of wine... owww, headache here, too, Grace ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the second pic - and with that name you just sent me back to Cuba, ahhh, what a start into this week :-)
Maybe this is not his first bottle...
ReplyDeleteGraet paste-up! I agree with Francis on this one! A 'politician ' for sure. Check this out http://alldownunder.com/games/jokes/political-jokes04.htm
ReplyDelete$1000 could buy me lots of ingredients to cook delicious meals for days! :D
ReplyDeleteTrying to remember where he left the car.
ReplyDeleteLol! Fantastic as usual.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, 1966 was a brilliant year.
A great find Grace. I like the mix of the real and the unreal with the lady walking towards the sad Penfolds 1966 drinker. PS. Love the Hemmingway quote too.
ReplyDeleteNice photos :)
ReplyDeleteYes, 1966 was very good year.
'66 was mighty fine!
ReplyDeleteOuch! $1000 for a bottle of wine? I really like the second photo.
ReplyDeleteLol. My weekend was great and I did not have to blow all that cash on one bottle of wine :)
ReplyDeleteThe Perth Arena is beautiful! btw..
ReplyDeleteHe seems very thoughtful... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd photo is fantastic, Grace!
It's a tough life...
