Spontaneous combustion.....!
Coming down the escalators from ONE40WILLIAM (Aimee's workplace) on a 41C day in the city, not surprisingly I was drawn to the cool blue reflection of Kelly Slater riding the big waves in an advert for Quicksilver surf gear. Thanks be to 'someone' the temperature is dropping to a much cooler 26C today, just in time before we all spontaneously combust! Wouldn't that make for an interesting headline..'seen yesterday on Murray Street in Perth, Western Australia, one minute she was walking along chatting, the next pouffff! she spontaneously combusted' haha! Excusez-moi , as I type this it's still hot and my brain (?) seems to have turned to mush, normal (?) function will return later in the day, stay tuned. You have no idea how tempting it was to join in the wet fun below, next time for sure. Seriously TGIF, have a good one, take care.....

ReplyDeleteI love seeing the kids playing in the fountain!! I would have been more than tempted to jump in with them, too!! Hope you do have some cooler weather for the weekend, Grace!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteCool shots, you hot Mama!
ReplyDeleteAloha' G
I am happy to hear temperatures are going to drop for you! Hoping you are sending some of it over here. It's freezing!!! Have a nice cool weekend. Enjoyed this entry, as per usual!
ReplyDeleteNext time jump into the water fountain!
ReplyDeleteHooray for dropping temperatures - but hope they drop quick quick! Spontaneous combustion is no fun, haha:) Love the cooling water fountain and that beautiful blue - I appreciate a dose of heat from our wintery shores here!
ReplyDeleteso very glad you did not combust ...
ReplyDelete41 degrees... We're expecting a cold front this weekend, with probably some snow on the hills around town. I could do with 41 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm always tempted by those water features too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI envision melting more than combustion, the headlines would highlight all of the strange puddles on the sidewalk.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how you manage in those temperatures! I'm glad it doesn't stop you from shooting cool photos!
ReplyDeleteThat is serious hot!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that fountain will be a very tempting thing for me along about August here in the Arizona Desert. When you speak about hot temps, I know exactly what you mean....HOT, HOT, HOT!
ReplyDeleteA interactive fountain. There should be more of them.
ReplyDeleteI have great empathy for you as we have many "too hot" days here in Florida in the summer. When Lois was running races, many of the sites brought in fire trucks to spray the runners as they came across the finish line.
ReplyDeleteGreat fountain.
ReplyDeleteWith those temperatures I am surprised that the fountain is not standing room only! Lovely shots - stay cool!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
I want to play in the water. Better than being at work.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be heading for the fountain Grace!
ReplyDeleteIf I was in Perth I would like to play in your fountain.
ReplyDeleteHaa , being a kid again, and not wondering "may I or may I not, will I be ridiculous?"..No, only jumping into fresh water without any question , and enjoying the fun and the good of it...
ReplyDeleteYou really need that fountain with those temperatures you have. Here it is freezing cold brrrr.
ReplyDeletei hope there will be digital documentation "next time". we'd all like to see the glorious grace in the fountain.
ReplyDeleteOkay...I looked up the celcius to fahrenheit conversion. That's 105F -- hot, hot, hot! I wouldn't have thought less of you if you had skipped through that freshing fountain. (Although with that temperature, how refreshing could it be?!) Awesome reflections, by the way.
ReplyDeleteThe kids look like their having a great time. I can see why you were tempted to join them. Me, I'd be running to the air conditioned shopping center.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind joining in that wet fun right now!
ReplyDeleteYou can't spontaneously combust Grace. We will miss your daily post. Hot over here too. Enough for me to run through that fountain.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'd like to be in the middle of those fountains too!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
This really looks fun in the hot weather. Never been in Perth, so it's great to be able to see what the town looks like.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. I'm just doing my internet "eco travelling" by SkyWatch.
